I play the assault/[strike]medic[/strike] class without a medpack. I carry a grenade launcher instead! I'm that greedy and selfish lonewolf that doesn't hold "teamwork" in his vocabulary. I don't care about you or the squad. I just care about my K/D and my personal achievements.
I PROMISE, THE ABOVE IS DEEPLY EXAGGERATED!!! Let me explain...
My favourite class is the support class. I keep my support gunner safe and he keeps me well nourished and kicking ass. If he can't keep me well nourished, I can't keep him safe. The relationship is give and take. I'm usually alive longer than my bullets last so my support keeps the IV dripping at a steady rate. He keeps my stock of grenades at a healthy level too and my grenade launcher is cranking out nothing but suppression and a ton of kills. I can deny the enemy cover, light vehicles get sent back to the shop, and snipers suffer anxiety disorders when pockets of dust and smoke get thrown up near their position. Call me greedy or selfish for not loading out with a medpack but diversifying is what enables me and my buddy to tackle most situations. The grenade launcher allows me to blend the engineer class in with the assault class while the game itself takes care of the medic roll as long as I can provide my buddy with enough cover to restore his health. And in some cases, being revived with 100% health using the defibrillator (doesn't count as a death) is better than walking on eggshells waiting for health to restore. Sure, the support class might not get as much action, lacking points because of a lack of kills but I'll payout the difference in resupply points.
This is my explanation for looking like an ass. :ar:
