Call of Duty Subscription Details

Premium service will work with Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3. This is a new featured provided by Activision that will require some kind of payed membership to join Clans, play clan matches, train against each other and share files.
A trailer for Activision's online membership service, Call of Duty: Elite, has leaked online.

According to the video, Call of Duty: Elite allows players to form groups and clans, compete online for prizes, film sharing, study maps and weapons, stat tracking, and additional features. Elite members will be able to access data via smart phones, tablets as well as computers. The service is compatible with Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3, and future Call of Duty titles. Not all features in this service will require a subscription cost, however.

What do you guys think about this? They are trying to charge for a service that we can get for free. When I mean free, I mean the Clan management. Sure you will be able to play for prizes, but this will only be giving these assholes more money for shit that we should have for free.

This is stupid, I've heard the idea from some other video on YouTube and its just not right. I could see if they were allowing us to get every map pack, new weapons, new games type, ect. without paying any extra money. But even with that it would have to be very small amount for that to be worth it, cause paying 15 after waiting like 3 months for 4 maps and a zombie map? If they are going to do this they better make it like PC games, if you pay per month, we should get a lot more content then what we do. Cause if its just for that, I really don't think its worth it and i probably wont get it.

Its a good idea but should be free. We pay enough to play the game. $60 (for the game) $30 (for 2 map packs) plus a gold membership. Im considering not even buying mw3 cuz I know if i get it Ill have to buy all the maps and there goes another $90+ dollars to play a game that will only be for a year until another comes out. It seems like just yesterday blops came out and it was a year ago and mw3 is on the way.

I think the vid was funny on it but cheech is 100% wright why pay for it when thats all we do for this game is buy buy buy ever map pack and they cant give us elite for free. It would be graet for clan wars but do we really want to spend another 15 on this and ps ninja smells like another mans dick lol. ps CAG will get sick wining all the prizes

I doubt I'll be buying this, It's stupid

- Just give me theater mode and I can come with all the strategy we need.
- Clan Matches ... nah I'll do the traditional way, challenge them and beat em period.
- To form clans, well I got CAG don't need no other...
- Weapons ? that's why theirs practice in the 1st week...

I don't need it unless they come up with some other benefit but I doubt it. Buncha thieves ....

There will be theater mode in mw2 i believe the premium package has some special things but clan making and gun status are regular and free. there are videos on youtube that show the free call of duty elite and its only in this thread so you should go check it out!

if your in elite, you get all the dlc's for free when they are released.
