While no official 1.08 patch notes have been confirmed by Sledgehammer Games yet, it appears that it weighs in at around 1.8GB on consoles.
The new patch is expected to make changes to the game, as well as bring a close to the Winter Siege event.
Here's the latest from the development team, who write: "We've rolled out an update to end Winter Siege, and Captain Butcher is packing up and heading out.
"You can still complete Orders in progress and open unopened supply drops, and the Winter Collection will still be available. However, Winter Collection Rewards will not."
Full COD WW2 patch notes will probably be released in the coming hours, confirming just what has been changed in the latest update.
There have been a lot of requests recently from the COD community to see a fix for an ongoing issue connected with Spectating games, however, it's unclear if this has been fixed.
Fans are also reporting that this new update has changed back Headquarters to how it looked before the start of the Winter Siege event.

The developer has created three new Resistance themed maps, a brand new War Mode map and another Zombies adventure.
