I may have misread your post on the first page on what I thought you said was being true. Just saying that Texas Chainsaw Massacre was actually a complete hoax. I was pretty disappointed myself when I found out.

Yeah it is completely fictional,too weird to be the truth.
I'm familiar with a lot of the serial killers from the US as let's face it they where all pretty big with the headlines,Ed Gein being one of many of the crazies.Psychology around serial killers I find interesting(some people may find that crazy but the human mind is really unknown to a degree)like what motivates them to carry out the monstrous crimes they committed and in the US their pretty unique with that factor.
I'm from the Uk and must say we have our fair share of famous serial killers (the Yorkshire ripper, Suffolk Strangler,Fred and Rose West,and not to mention the one with the highest potential body count in Harold Shipman but the real deals on American soil,probably due to the fact that the US is such a bigger country too.

After reading on Wikipedia... that it is absolutely disgusting and appalling as to how many were murdered in S. American countries beyond 100+ vitims yet only getting an 18-yr sentence for example!! Lack of criminal control, complete brain-chemical imbalances, 100% psycho-pathic personalties, and total social disconnect are all to blame. I truly believe that chemical imbalances in the brain is the major contributor
