OK, I really don't get this sniper thing...

On both games, COD4 & BO3, in CQB fighting, by the time I scope-up...I'm dead.

And WTF is quick-scoping and why can't I do it?

And why don't I get the "x" thing when I have my scope up?

Frustrated as all fuck.

You need to prime your ads. In other words you need to partially aim down scope one to two times rapidly before you fully aim down site. When you do this when you actually fully aim down sight it is much faster.

Jump into a private lobby and try it out a bit before you get in a match to grrr the hang of it.

Another method is they actually aren't fully scoping. They are actually firing at the split second your screen changes from normal view to scoped in. Because the second your screen changes the cross hairs are actually there and you can get that shot in the middle of your screen as if your fully scoped in.

Basically you just need to work on your timing and get a feel for it
