He may just be referring to a instant message type function. Like Hey I need help in the Dark Zone 6 come ASAP. Or who's up for a incursion. Just to get a instant notification.
If you subscribe to a thread. Does it send instant alerts that a post was made.? That may be a way to use the forum for a instant response?
In the past I have used a Facebook group chat to always see who is on and to get their attention quickly. I can see issues coming from a chat that isn't regulated.

Absolutely no 3rd party app besides tapatalk will be allowed to discuss clan related matters ...
Anyone found to be using another 3rd party app to discuss clan related matters will be removed from CAG and banned ...

While I do not really care where things are posted and since I've already been told that if you need to organize anything the forum is the place to go, I would like to understand what's going on here. If for clan matters we are talking of rankings, explainations, organization of events or even compliants or congratulations and thanks or fun shit, I fully agree with you guys. Cagclan.com is the way. But I do not use the website to organize maybe a division group by entering here, posting and then hoping that someone reads it and, glory to god, even let me tell they are or not available. And then, I should even notice someone answered (that's why I think all the posts 'ME on The Division now' are pointless unless you spend your day looking at the website or subscribed to everything and taptalk notifications are working. not even mentioning Taptalk chat here...).Originally Posted by CAG CheechDogg
An istant messaging system like GroupMe, Line or similar shit would only be for 'Hey, i'll be home in 10 minutes and would like to organize a Rainbow Six run, anyone in?' instead of getting home (like I do) and see if maybe someone is online, maybe playing another game and then start to organizing from there. On the things going nasty or to shit, well, I do not think an istant messaging system or the website would make much of a difference. If you are an asshole, or you mistreat someone, that would be the same in here or outside here. Unless you are asking for prooves, the same would be if I call someone names in chat while it's only me and him/her, what evidences would you have? (if that is your issue, ofc)

If there is a way or some way that Cheech or someone could look into an instant messenger for the clan for the different companies to use then it would be a lot easier for members to message in a group chat - I'm not insinuating that we should use a 3rd party app not at all but if there is a way we can have a instant messenger on the forums would that not be ideal?

Spoke with SECJay around a just short of an hr ago regarding this and discussed thoroughly.
Explained to SECJay that the only instant thing the forums could and has supported in the past was a chat bar on the site.Explained that in regards to a chat bar that it was previously made available and when made available it was rarely used.It was also at an expense to the site money wise as the usage didn't reciprocate and also cost the site to slow down in loading speeds etc.
Explained that threads that where subscribed to are far from useless like kaylius previously stated eg if a regular player that I game with fires up an Online Now Thread within a particular game,im automatically going to sub to the thread as i game with them regularly within my online gaming time therefore once anyone posts on the Online Now thread im going to receive an immediate notification through to my phone so I can group with them if and when available.
I will continue this trend as personally the forums in my opinion are what allows me to continually game with my CAG DOGGS.

to add to this discussing the xbox one smartglass app for your fone gives you a quik update on whos online ar not and works exactly the way your xbox works, so you could this one (if cheech approves) to massage a online friend if there is room, jour starting up the game etc etc before even starting up your xbox the same way you do it from your xbox dashboard. The only difference is you can't join a party.

Absolutely no harm in using smart glass app to get together with other members.
I myself use smart glass to see who's gonna be online roughly a half hr before I get on so I know who I can possibly bump into,I still prefer to use the forums to give notice of weather I am going to be online though.
