I've got to get across the country to be there but am going to seriously start budgeting to try and go. It'd be nice to put some faces to names and meet our members face-to-face.

So far for the wife and I it's going to be about $950 for airfare. Her firm sends her all over the place so we're thinking they may can get us a better deal. If we can do this it will be the first time we've been able to take a real vacation in over ten years! Kid and careers kind of killed the fun.

Is the area around the event a good place to stay? Remember I'm an Alabama boy that's been to New York twice and hated it. I've been to San Jose and Aliso Viejo and like them both. New York was too much rush, push and people but San Jose and Aliso Viejo were nice and laid back, like me. The wife has already said if we go one day will be reserved for stuff she wants to do. Shopping, site seeing, spending money....you know the usual wife stuff.
