Bravo Co: Correct Way To Request Badges/Ribbons

All Bravo Company members from recruits to higher ranks, you must follow protocol when requesting badges/ribbons. Let this serve as the one and only warning. If someone fails to follow the correct steps in requesting a badge, it will not be processed, until the correct person requests it. That person would be our award officer, Bertus. The badge could also become void, and if it is a continuous occurrence of incorrectly requesting badges, you may face disciplinary actions.

The correct way in requesting badges is as followed:

If it is a badge you cannot request on your own (i.e. weapon badges, team badges, etc.) you must post your request within Bravo Company Award thread located here:

When requesting within this forum, state what badge you are requesting and provide the link where the pictures and game information has been posted and confirmed. Our awesome Awards Officer, Bertus, will check it and officially verify if the badge has been earned. He will then be the one whom recommends the award for you. Even leaders such as a Platoon Sergeant or Squad Leaders must post within this thread for medals they are not allowed to request on their own. At no time should you request your own weapon badge without using this forum.

The only badges that may be requested on your own through the Awards menu on the main page are as followed:

1. Any Service Medal (1 Month Service Ribbon)
2.Reinforcement Medal
3. Any Good Conduct Medal (Good Conduct Medal)
4. Unit Leader's Medal (In Bravo Company, I am allowing only Squad Leaders or above to recommend this badge for unit leaders, as it has become a problem with duplication)
5. Any Military Veteran Medal (CAG U.S. Army)
6. Any Game Veteran Medal (CAG MW3 Veteran)
7. CAG Hispanic Assaultman
8. CAG White Boy Assaultman
9. CAG NWA Assaultman
10. Any Prestige Medal (COD: Black Ops 3 1st Prestige)

The following badges may not be requested through the Award menu on the front of the page, but only through posting a request within the Bravo Award Thread, with correct link.

Medals you can NOT request yourself:
1. Dogg Ribbon
2. CAG's Medal of Honor
3. Medals you earn as a team (Combat Action Medal, Tactical Precision Team Medal)
4. Ones that Leadership recommend (Dogg Pack Medal)
5. CAG Charlie Delta Defense Squad Medal (Only CAG Cheechdogg can give this)
6. ANY Weapon Badges (CAG Brigade Marksman's Medal, Marksman's Badge, Pistol Marksman's Badge, ETC)
7. Any Billet (0311: Rifleman, 0351: Assaultman)
8. Any Battlefield Medal

I know we all get excited and eager when we achieve a new award! I am not discouraging this eagerness at all. I am truly proud to see so may of you guys knocking out these challenges! We must maintain order, to ensure everyone is getting the correct badges/ribbons. The main way to do this is by following protocol. If you are unsure about whether you can request something or not, feel free to check in with your Chain of Command, and ask if you are suppose to request it on your own.

This is a very good and informative post. Sadly I have already screwed up myself. Like you stated I was overly excited when completing the Brigade Marksman that I put in the request myself this morning (6 hours ago).

I understand I made a mistake and will accept any consequence that is deemed necessary.

I've only requested a few medals myself, but I'm seeing a lot of posts regarding this matter.

Thread has been fixed! Thank you for the heads up; I would have never remembered to edit it. I'm sorry you read outdated information 1,000 times but I'm glad you are using guidelines to make sure you know what's up. I was worried about the process as well when I started doing requests, but you've hit the ground running and are doing great work. One of the reasons you were promoted. Keep it up.
