    Anyone Use a Netduma Router?

Anyone use a Netduma or have any experience with one? They sound very interesting but for the money I want to make sure I'm getting what I pay for. Nothing better than getting lag killed or playing with someone that lags across your screen.

For those of you that don't know https://netduma.com/

Ill stick with ASUS. I have to many questions about this router, just by what they are claiming. If I was going to drop 200 bucks on a router, it will be a proven router. If this works as it claims, then it will be amazing. But if it works as it claims, why is it not in gaming retail stores or big computer outlets?

That's my big worry. You can find some reviews on YouTube. Some are positive some are negative. The problem with YouTube reviews is some people will come into the review with a prejudice for or against the product. There are a lot of features that seem to be unique to this router that I want. The price is hard to swallow especially since it's running on a $55 piece of hardware.

The price is fair. Most great gaming routers routers run in the high 200. Netgear and ASUS. I am not a fan of YouTube reviews for the exact reason you said. You do not know if they are bias. You do not know if they know, what they are talking about. Anyone can google the terms, through it together in a video and "make" it sound like they know what they are talking about. If it is as good as they claim, they should be comparing them self next to the major players. This is just my opinion and I know others will not agree with me but MEH I dont care.

My birthday is coming up next month so I may splurge and buy one. I have a decent router now but it doesn't have a lot of the features of this router or several other high-end models.

I haven't looked at all the special features but most routers in homes now can already prioritize where the bandwidth goes.

    Mine was set up as:
    • PS4 (wired)
    • My Laptop
    • GF's Laptop
    • My Desktop (rarely ever even turned on anymore)
    • GF's Phone
    • My Phone
    • All other devices
    • Shit ass roommates devices
Now that we no longer have the roommate it is just open with PS4 being the only wired device so my gaming is rarely ever effected. Only time is when I'm watching twitch while gaming and the GF is watching shows beside me. Then I just turn off twitch and fine again.

I will also add, anyone gaming off a wireless connection is just asking for a bad time. Also, there are many factors that effect gaming such as the monitor you use. A 1ms gaming monitor compared to a big LCD tv at ~16ms may not be completely noticeable to you while playing but it really is a difference in who turns first online.

I have QoS setup on my router to prioritize my Xbox over all other. With the wife and kid streaming Netflix or Radio Disney bandwidth is a premium at my house.

Nice! May need to let her configure your router.

Did some adjustments to my current router to see if that helps with my lag/ping issues. If not I believe a Netduma is in my future.
