    Call Out Lingo

So I'm still a recruit. And I've asked in my early hours for someone to take a moment to make such a thread. Because when your in game, and although you may have a good understanding of the map. But can't call out quick enough your location and direction of enemy contact. Well I've picked up a few and I'll drop them off here. Itd be great if everyone could throw down their knowledge and help out the next line of recruits, maybe even experienced people's. You never know...

So first off, I've got the understanding. That most the time directions of left and right are depicted mainly on the primary hold down side. Which you can thank Zarmcher, Patch, Batman and so on for this little cheat sheet. https://www.cagclan.com/community/th...highlight=Maps

But try and use your best judgment during a call out for yourself, and others when your just a second late. Obviously they'd be the usual Left, Right, Behind, and any other random directions it maybe.

The lingo I remember is 3 on Fringe, which is the small barn in front of Grandma's house which is the white house located on the right side of the map. Most of the area surrounding grandma's is fairly easy to understand.

I want to say the map is Havoc, and the helicopter within the middle is called Red. I also referre to the small indent to the left of Red as the sniper plateu. The small area with the cargo box, and tank leading to the building should be called the pen or something...

Anyway, please give input to help one another grow better in communication. If this gets enough attention, please sticky. Thanks.

Thanks, I just felt lost after I joined and couldn't figure out right a way where anyone was pointing out. I didn't want to ask, and just tried to discern for myself. And I caved after we went through some maps for practice location spots. I think it'd be good for the future recruits to get some aid to help them be able to shine even more.

Also maybe for good measures when adding your lingo references to put which console you roll with. All my info is based on Bravo Squad PS4 people's.

As Cheech pointed out, it's great to see posts like these. It is so important to see suggestions and feedback to improve everyone's experience within games. Also your other post about where to find information, was very appreciated! Here are call outs for some of the maps just off the top of my head. I know some that have been added are "duh", but I rather cover everything in case there is some confusion about it. Please add more, as I am sure to have forgotten some things!

Infection: These can be used for either side of the map.
    • When covering the middle of this map, people typically call out that they went "down from Tank". This means someone is head glitching on either side of the map behind one of the tanks in front of the church/house.

    • When we call out "someone is going into the Embassy", it means they have broken off from the middle (where the fountain is located) and have went into the building that is parallel to the middle fountain. Typically the person covering right/left side would expect to see the enemy come out towards them in this situation.

    • When "Church" is called out, this means someone is standing in the Church window. Sometimes people refer to this window as the "Bell Tower". It's the same thing.

    • The call out for "House" on this map is pretty straightforward. I have noticed it is helpful to call which window a enemy is in for this call out. Right or left window.

Hunted: These call outs apply to the house side of the map.

    • If you hear someone call out "down far right", this means that someone has broken off from the hut/bridge from the other side, and have used the wall run on the bridge to jump behind the guys on the right side. They typically hide behind the rocks or near the red truck on right side.

    • Again for the right side, when someone calls out "Hut" this means that someone is in the window of the hut directly across the bridge of the other spawn. Usually the person near the tank or on the stairs on right side can get the enemy.

    • If you hear someone say "enemy going into the house" (typically this comes from the person watching left side who can see the enemy running into the back door of the house or guys on the right side who can see them jumping into the window from bridge), it means that the guy watching middle will most likely see some action.

    Havoc:
These call outs apply to the side of the map with the broken airplane on right side and the crater on left side. (Lambjimb0 has already noted some of these!)
    • We refer to the airplane as "Red" (i.e. down at red), this just means they were killed from someone in the airplane.

    • When we call out "water" this is the water located directly next to the opening of the airplane. This is used as a call out for a death, or a call out to identify that is the spot you will be covering. (i.e. I've got "Water" for "Red") All this would mean is that someone is covering cross fire directed at the water for the person covering the red plane entrance.

    • Stairs call out for this map means that someone is standing or laying on the stairs on the left side.

    • "Sniper Plateau" is the ledge on the other side located next to the plane. It is close to the B Flag in Domination for those of you who play that game. Is is also to the left of the plane if you are in the middle of the map on the this particular spawn holding point.

    • I'm down for calling the tank/box area pen; we just have to remind everyone of that word!

    Fringe
: This is for when we hold down the side with the white house, however, could be used for either side. Again Jimb0 pointed some of these out already!
    • "Grandma's House" is a reference to the white house. Typically we call out top or bottom to indicate exactly where the enemy is positioned.

    • "White Truck" is pretty obvious, however, sometimes people will break from the left and actually be next to the wooden board behind the white truck. Definitely helps if this is also called out.

    • "Left Side or Left Barn" is in reference to the building on the far left of the map. It is the metal building, and is a highly important spot to holding down this map. So it's super duper important to call this one out.

    • "Silos" is a call out that represents the back left side of the map. These are the big round metal circles behind the house and also have numbers on them (pretty sure one silo is labeled with the number 4)

    • Watch "3" or down from "3" is reference to the metal building/walkway in the middle of the map located to the left of the train tracks.

    • "Right/Left tracks" is pretty easy, I do recommend letting people know if the enemy appeared to be pushing off the tracks if you can

    • "Sphere or Water Tower" this is a tricky one that some people call out. It is the circle/round landmark on the right side. It has a truck located next to it. Often times when someone breaks through our wall on right side from tracks, they run to this sphere, and cause problems.

    • "Red/Barn" this is letting people know someone is in the barn window

    • "Hardware Store or Windows" is reference to the building located to the left of the white truck. It is brick and can be a blind spot for the guys covering middle.

Combine: This will be for the side with the gate where many people jump up on.

    • "Wall Run" this a call out to let the people on right know that there is someone coming in off the wall run

    • "Behind the Sign" again this is for the right side; means someone is hiding behind the sign that is located near the wall run (many enemies who break off wall run hide behind it and you cannot see them, but you can shoot through it. Takes a few shots though)

    • "Stairs" on this map is a reference to someone approaching/being on the stairs located in the middle of the map

    • "Left" obviously is a call out that someone slipped through the left door, but I note this because I want to point out that many times an enemy will run towards the left of the tank when they break out, and will flank the entire team if someone doesn't get 'em)

    Breach:
Can be used for either side; however, I know more about call outs when we hold the side with the broken building
    • "Broken" is the main building. We do "Top Broken" and "Bottom Broken" to differentiate what position an enemy is in within the main building or the position of death.

    • "Middle building or Middle Room" is a nod to the small room located in the literal middle of the map (B Flag of Domination)

    • "AC Unit" this is reference to the roof of the building across the room in the other spawn. A helpful hint to the person watching top broken, people love to head glitch on the AC Unit on that side. Watch out.

    • "Side Room" not many people use this, but it is when the enemies push out from the left building located next to the "middle building on B Domination point.

    Aquarium: Either Side
    • "Blue Tunnel" is a call out for the shark tank located on the right side of the map when holding down the side with the yellow vehicle and fish statues. (CDP side)

    • "Left Building" is a call out to watch/check the building located on the left side. It is the Jellyfish Diver (blue painted room) Also located on the side with the yellow vehicle and fish statues (CDP side)

    • "Green Room" this is a call out for the reptile room located on the left side of the map. (This is for Black Ops side where the pirate ship and dock is)

    Strongehold:
This is for the snow side with the rocks in the back.
    • "Far Left" is reference to someone being to the farthest point of the left side building. They are usually near the stairs not yet in the building. Typically enemies will use the rock wall to jump into the spawn.

    • "Bottom Left" while it literally means someone is in the left building and to watch for them to come through the door, sometimes enemies never push out and will just camp inside the building. Proceed with caution while going into that building if you hear this call out

    • "Bedroom" this is called out when someone on left side or someone pushing back to spawn point see an enemy sitting in the bedroom across the map. Left side people usually call this out to each other.

Nuketown: These will be call outs with a mix of strategy breakdown as this map can cause some trouble.
    Call Outs for this Map

    • "Middle" could mean someone is between the buses or head glitching behind the box located in one of the buses.

    • "Top of Orange/Blue" someone is camping in the top part of a building and is usually in a window

    • Red Car can be called B Dom occasionally.

    Strategy for this Map

    • On either side of this map, there will always need to be someone in left corner, right corner, bottom garage, bottom house and top house, leaving a floater who can help control the middle.

    • The guys watching left and right corners must absolutely cover the cross fire of the opposite side. If you are covering right corner, you will be shooting down everyone coming down the middle/left side. If you are covering the left corner, you will cover incoming middle and right traffic.

    • If someone in the corner doesn't do the cross fire for the opposite side, one side always gets overrun and it causes major problems.

    • For instance, when spawning at orange house, whomever grabs left side is responsible for watching middle/blue car traffic. The person on the right side is responsible for clearing the middle/red car.

Miscellaneous Lingo: Used for every map!

    • "Spawn Dirty" means you have spawned on the opposite side of the map that the team is not holding down

    • "Flip" this just means to flip the original spawn point so we can hold the other side of the map

    • "Navy Seal" this is typically used for when we are on Havoc. It means to flip the spawn to the side we prefer to hold down by jumping into the water and coming out behind the red plane.

    • "Flank/flanking" this means the enemies are coming up behind our team. Nooooo this is not good!

    • "Getting Sweaty" this is when someone like Dizzle, Patron, Zarm, or Parch go try hard in a match (going 55-0 or dropping hella amounts of kill streaks while using Ante Up)

Batman, this is why you are so highly praised.

One thing I would like to add to this thread is that we should take the time once or twice a week with the recruits and go into the maps and practice like we did last week.

I'm not sure if this has been a regular thing, but it should be. I do understand that coming into the clan one can almost be overrun with information.

Maybe once in their first week, and twice in the second week as they are coming closer to being a full CAG member.

In the latter sessions of map practice, share lingo, strategies, etc. Chances are if they play with the group frequently in the first week they will start catching onto things, but like jimbo said, some people don't like to ask questions.

Hells yes Dizzle! Zarm and I have talked about recruits needing at least one training session when they join up to help teach them locations and the CAG way on maps. I definitely agree with this and would like to implement this with the help of Fireteam leaders!
