So, those of you that play with me (DizzleDaddy) know that I have dealt with some horrific lag.
I've got AT&T uVerse; which is a problem in itself, but we are constantly "reassured" that we are running on the top speeds that they offer. I have a roommate, and he is a professional photographer and is constantly uploading pictures.
I usually upload 5-10 pictures at a time and edits others while he is uploading. These files are only like 2-6 mb a piece and it takes him like 30 minutes to do one upload.
AT&T ran some tests and said our numbers are extremely low and something wasn't right, but the issue didn't seem to be at our house. They went down to the local AT&T building that holds all the servers or whatever and replaced the circuit board that was supporting my connection. He ran more tests and said that the numbers looked a lot better. Thing a seemed a little bit better for me as well... Until last night.
My roommate uploaded again, and the connection became much worse for me than it has been, I was even dropping out of the chat on PS4.
While he was uploading I ran a speed test and the results were as follows:
Even a complete moron can tell you that something is wrong with this picture.
AT&T said they are coming back out to replace our modem on Saturday.. But I'm wondering if that will even fix the issue.
This is just to let you guys know and help you understand what I've been dealing with. Advice and recommendations are appreciated.
[Note]: When my roommate isn't uploading my speed test results come in with numbers around 26 Up and about 3.5 Down.
