Laid Off More Play Time

Hey guys not sure if this is a good or bad thing (maybe the universe seen I needed a break). Pretty sure they'll be laying the last 4 of us off soon, came to work half the lights are off.(and WiFi) They laid another group off few months back no warning just blah with no back up plan. From what I was told at night its pitch black; how can you patrol what you can't see and don't lights ward off intruders. Already on the look out for another positions but they're so far away might have to stay in that town through out the week and come home on weekends smh...but push come to shove hopefully i can get "unemployment" so bills don't fall behind. Even though I'd rather have my own source of income. Wish me luck

PS if you're in eastern NC and know of any security companies let me know have unarmed guard license but I'm willing to go for armed and will travel.

Thanks man it's just crazy how they're going about doing this they know our last days are coming the place has been sold and the new owners are cutting way back. Trying to find a job asap(been looking since the last people left) I have a family summer is coming so kids will be out that's higher lights water and more food lol they like to eat...and I know if I do get UE it won't be anywhere near what I actually make now!

Bout to hit the ground running just looked up uei I won't be able to survive off that so need the job more than the benifits. Wish they'd just be professional and assign us to different sites but that's wishful thinking. Might turn into even less play time looking for a job and all.

Super shitty. Any armoured car / truck companies around like G4S? Maybe going for you armoured license now will help when you are actually laid off. Paying while you can still make it work. I did security as a side job and it's tough to make a living off of it. Just let my license expire. Good luck, you will be ok

I make pretty good money loved the benefits dental vision health 401k. Imma look into the armored truck thing was supposed to be saving up to take my basic law enforcement training...might have to suck it up and ask for help to pay for it and just reimburse them.

Chin up Rasta,im a big believer in "things happen for a reason".Yeah the stuff that may happen may not be great but if shit goes down in a bad way then theres only ever one way to go from there and that's up.

Like everyone im sure at some point or another,we all experience things like this that test us in life(god knows iv had my fair share) but its exactly how we face them that defines us as people.In my opinion Rasta you are already in the mindset that your not gonna let this misfortune overcome you or beat you when generally weaker people would say screw that and be happily unemployed.

Keep thinking how your thinking as positiveness can overcome anything life throws at you.

Just looked into g4s there's an opening maybe 40 mins from me I drive 30 now so no big deal. Filling out the app now. Thanks for the suggestion. Also found a opening for my current employer it's a hour and a half drive but you gotta do what ya gotta do.
