Joining Games

Posting this under Bravo Company because I know this works for PS4 but not sure about XB1 but...

For the people that have downloaded the PS4 app on their phone, with the app, it will always show you as being online. I know we're supposed to join games when we get invited but I think a good rule of thumb for this would help to be if the person isn't on the game, maybe send a message before inviting?

I know on Netflix there's a few times it hasn't showed up, just shows the person as on.

I mean, I know we're supposed to join when we are invited unless we have a good excuse but I've had people invite me when I was at work because my app is on my phone and I don't always have the best service at work so I can't respond right away and I just don't want to piss someone off.

So, a good rule of thumb, at least for PS4 should just be if they aren't on the game, send a message before invite?

Just putting this thought out there.

Does it show you on Call of Duty while your online using ur phone or just online on PlayStation network? I'm pretty sure the invite policy only applies to when your in Call of Duty, Siege, etc.

It just shows you as online but some people still invite whether you're in the game or not and get upset if you don't join, so I was just clarifying... I had a couple recruits ask me about it.

I know for myself if I see people on Netflix or any other app that isn't Call of Duty I won't send invite. But if a someone is playing I will send a few invites until I get a response. Especially recruits gotta whip them into shape lol

I usually try to do the same, unless we really need a sixth, then I spam away like a mofo. I was looking at the settings for PS4 and it does allow a person to mark his or her profile as away. It denotes it will a yellow dash next to the username in the friends list. This feature may help clear up who is available and who is not available.
