They ruined CoD the day they decided to take the marine soldier feel away from it.Them days where your camo looked like legit camo and the weapons where that of the mp5 and the FAL assault rifle.I miss the days where CoD meant navy seals, marine corps special ops and had some suspense behind its story line.
It'll never happen but what I want for CoD is probably what half the world want for BF5 when it drops and that's to take the game back to the WW2/WW1 scene where there has been some epic battles in the past that can be used as guidance ie hamburger hill, battle of the bulge, the beaches of Falkirk and not to mention Vietnam which in my opinion will always be a welcomed scene in the FPS genre.
My two favourite games of all time will always be:
Day of Defeat (Half-Life Mod from 2003)
-A great classic game, came out a few years after counter-strike. I was in many clans and played competitively for a number of years.
and
Battlefield: Vietnam (2004)
By far the best all around video game in my opinion. They balanced the solider/vehicle battle amazingly. The fact that you could never get in a vehicle and play an amazing game was awesome, or if you wanted to could hop in a boat and mow down people riverside/ hop in a truck and go kamikaze into a base, man a helicopter and bring a team full of troops to invade or blast away with rockets, and jump in an airplane to dominate the sky was just unparalleled in any other game I have played. I should mention the last battlefield I played was Battlefield 2 and the spec ops expansion. Also the most important feature of BF: Vietnam was the fact that they had radio stations that you could listen to. I bought a joystick just for this game and flying attack heli's while listening to battle songs was the greatest experience I have ever had gaming.
