So the story behind the title of this thread simply starts with a purchase of £25 windscreen wiper blades for my car.lol
So last month my car was due its annual vehicle test and besides everything else the only thing I had left to get for it to pass was wiper blades.Im a loyalty member with a local motor vehicle parts store(receive 20% discount on every purchase).So as I work pretty constant normally any parts the wife will pick them up.
The day that my wife picked up the purchase of the wiper blades the store was running a competition in that with a purchase you where entered into a drawn to win a nights stay away at a hotel resort/spa.
Turns out that we won the nights stay😁 and later found when claiming the promotion that it was a nights stay at one of the highest prestige hotel resort/spa's in Northern Ireland at Slieve Donnard hotel resort/spa which is well known due to it being situated on the grounds of the famous golfing course of Royal Co. Down.
What makes this pretty good is that on my past wedding anniversary on the 17th July past I booked us into stay where we got married but unfortunately this wasn't too good as we spent 5 hrs in hospital due to me having a major toothache.By the time we got back that night it was 11:30pm and all food had stopped being served (which was understandable due to the time and to be fair I wasn't in the mood to eat anything).Then to top it off we where woke in the silly hrs of that morning due to people illegally smoking (smoking ban in the UK) inside their hotel rooms and setting the smoke alarms off.We where pretty close to checking out at 4am that morning due to this.So to be fair this break sort of makes up for the fact that our past anniversary was a nightmare.
I spend all my time working while the wife stays at home doing the mother/wife thing so I have little time to go out anywhere and little time for anything else that involves anything that anyone could consider sociable.(The perks of having kids and having to provide for a family although I wouldn't change it) So tonight we get sometime to ourselves as the wife's mother and father are watching the kids for the night.
The stay comes with the high end room,3 course dinner at the 5 star restaurant on the premises and continental breakfast the next morning.
So if you dont see me on the forums much between the hrs of 5pm gmt today and 1pm gmt the next day this will be why.
