LOL I grew up in snow like that. Dug cool snow forts in the snow banks. Snowboarding. Snowballing cars. Shovelling house roofs for weekend cash ($300 per roof). Learning I drive in deep snow, compact ice, and slush. Shovelling my driveway twice some days it was so bad. Had my husky and a friends dog pull us around the streets on a snowboard. The odd acid trip walking around a dead quiet town at 2 am in heavy snow.
Good times. Not so much for cities not used to it.

On a similar but opposite note, it's been floating around freezing here. Just above the last day or two which caused it to rain. Very strange considering its January and we are in the middle of winter. In the middle of north/central BC, Canada. I used to remember multiple cold snaps every winter. We haven't had one this year.
El Niño at its finest. It may mean a wicked bad fire season for BC as well as California. Time will tell.
