This is a job I did for my boss last year.

What I find amazing Stormy is that all these jobs you have done/are doing and your age. Most people that I know round your age dont have the energy or the enthusiasm to keep pushing and stay active.
I'm half you age and to be honest I only hope that I can still be as active as you are when I reach that stage.
Hats off to you good sir.
My father and I have made one. Not sure what you were wanting to use but we used left over deck boards we had from building our pool deck. Didn't worry about spacing to fart apart because it was under cover and didn't have to worry about the weather warping the board
Awesome stuff guys. Love it. After I bought my table saw and built my workbench, the next thing my wife wanted was an entry way table. We couldn't find anything to fit our particular space. Or it was $400 lol.
I used 2x2 poplar stock for the frame, pine trim for the top trim/edge, ripped some old pallet boards into strips for the top, some pressed board to receive the strips, and a shitload of polyurethane to make it nice and glossy.
So far everyone loves it and puts their shit on it after walking in, so it's meeting its intended design.
