I attempted to request the CAG US Army Medal and a box popped up and said I wasn't allowed to do it. I'm still a Recruit so is that factoring in?

Yes, to request medals you need to be a Lance Corporal. To do this, you need to pass your recruit phase, get your sharpshooter and have a minimum of 200 posts. Once you are a Lance Corporal you can request medals.

If they stand up, put them back down.

Just to clarify. In the rank requirements up to lance corporal it states that "one of these" are required instead of all are required for Sergeant. can someone let us know which it is?

If you are not Lance Corporal or above, you can not request medals at all. It will not allow you.

Just a reminder to everyone. Your Awards NCO should be requesting the awards that you are not allowed. I have been letting it slide but it seems to be causing more issues. Duplicate awards, showing up twice on the back end, etc. I will not awards medals if you request the ones that you are not suppose to request. Everyone should be posting in the proper thread so the Award NCO's can process it.

Sorry for the headache I may have caused today requesting my prestige medals. I tried to wait at least 5 mins between each request in hopes it would be smoother on the site, hopefully it wasn't to bad.

No you were 100% good. I saw the times you requested them and they were perfect. No worries man!

I however, did not process one of your medals because I need bert to request it. Other then that you are good to go!

The brigade marksman. It was the first one I requested out of all the ones I did the other day. I screwed up and requested it myself :S

If you go to the CAG site on a browser (internet explorer, Google Chrome, Safari) there is a link near the top that says clan awards and medals. Click that then scroll down to the ribbon you want to request. Click request medal and fill in the required info. Make sure to only click submit once so you don't get awarded double medals send me a private message if u want me to walk you threw it
