    Posting Strategies

    All,

I'd like to find a spot where to post different strategies for consideration and start discussions about ways to be more efficient while in games with clan mates.

    See example herehavoc-map-layout-1.jpg

And then you give an explanation in your post as to how/why this would work.
This would be meant to spark discussion on each map.

so my explanation for this would be:
    Hold down the building
    Area A and C:
Two AR's or LMG's posted at this spot to keep people out of this area. One on the steps another hiding behind the barrels going to the lower level of the building
Fall back spots would be posting up behind the machinery and possibly pulling one person from C to help cover the steps going up to the 2nd level and should be utilized if one person in A or B goes down and you can't get someone who makes a run through (needs to be called out)
    Area C:
One person needs an AR, LMG, or Sniper to cover outside the window, but my suggestion for the other is to have an SMG to help cover the person with the longer range weapon from anyone jumping in through the window. SMG person would largely be unseen so that someone jumping in window should be easy kill. Area shouldn't be lost.

To get into position would be initial steady push utilizing all but one player who would be covering the rear where we are trying to enter the building from our spawn.

Spawn would put us in the far east or west of map and should be able to make it back in to the building easily if any area is kept.

If for some reason we end up losing A and B we should abandon plan and move back to holding spawn.

This is just an example and was quickly put together. Let me know what you think and also where I might be able to post future ideas.

Well... I figured I'd just post another one to this thread. This follows the more conventional ideas we use for the clan: Utilizing the spawns.

Both areas A and B are self explanatory. Only difference is that I think that any spot that is utilizing an AR could be an LMG. However, I think the SMG's are pivotal in the shown locations.

More of this! I need a good strategy session as most of the time mine goes to shit within the first minute.

In this scenario would you stay away from the Gorgon for your LMG? The reason I ask is it's low ROF. It hits like a sledgehammer but damn is it slow.

I would say closer range I would go with the higher rate of fire, but if you have some distance between you I think the gorgon works well.

I hope to do one of these for each map eventually, trying to do one a day or every other. I want everyone to feel free to post their own ideas as well. I don't want to be the only one posting. The best strategies come from a group not a single person.

I'm going to go with a different type of strategy this time.

This is for when we don't have a full lobby to easily hold down an area and instead of calling it "run n' gun" I'm going to call it "Precision Tanking."

The idea is that rather than everyone running blindly around the map you move in small groups of two or three to take out the enemy.

First I suggest moving around the edge of the map rather than the middle. Think of it this way; if you're in the middle you have 4 directions an enemy can attack you from. Using the map to your advantage now you only have 3 directions the enemy can attack you from. Communication needs to happen so that when you have multiple areas to clear to move forward you can call out certain locations an enemy might hide or be coming from so that all areas are covered.

    Lead guy:
Has a longer range weapon and short range weapon (overkill suggested, but not always available if you are going through different prestige's). I'm a big fan of running an assault rifle and smg combination to get head glitchers or to take out campers in tight areas.

    Rear:
Uses short range weapon to kill any flankers or put down covering fire for the Lead. Once you kill a few and they notice you are staying in a group they will most likely try to out smart you and will start trying to attack from behind. Will also most likely try to rush you to get the "Easy" double kill.

Middle Guy (if you have them):
Uses an assault rifle. Covers extra areas for lead guy and helps cover 3rd direction of attack.

I feel the idea of this is to move from cover area to cover area rather than sitting in one spot. In every map there are areas where paths converge to create funnel spots that can be held down by low numbers. We will use these areas to our advantage in this play style and why I call it Precision Tanking rather than run n' gun because you are still using the map and cover to your advantage rather than just relying on getting the drop on your enemy and winning a gun fight.

If you're running with 3 people if/when one dies the other 2 try to hold down a small area till you can regroup.

Running with 2 you regroup at midpoint between area of death and spawn.

Let me know if you have any ideas on this play style.
