Since I've joined I've seen how effective holding the spawn can be and in many cases it holds very well but isn't very fun to some players. So I have been thinking about how to make it more fun or more effective. One idea is to give each player a purpose, for instance holding the spawn like we normally do consists of 2 right, 2 left and one in mid and one for support. Last night I was playing with a full party of CAG using this strat and we were getting overwhelmed. What if the support person was assigned a LMG and rocket launcher. The LMG equipped with FMJ, extended mag and fast mag, also with a rocket launcher. The purpose for the LMG with those attachments is if say right side goes down, support can turn that way and fill the doorway and wall (because of FMJ) with a solid stream of bullets that makes it difficult for the enemy to get through. Also add a trophy system for each position for protection. By the time support has to reload the fallen side should be back up and on the process of taking over again. Every person could have a specific purpose in preserving the team which, imo, would make holding the spawn more involved for everyone. I have been trying to think of other strategies as far as running. I haven't gotten very far with that just yet but I'm working on it. I was hoping to hear from higher ranking ppl and see what they thought?
