Hello and welcome to CAGCLAN.com the official Forums and Home of the CAG Clan (Combat Applications Group).
This thread is CAG's official handbook for all new members and recruits and will be updated regularly as new members and recruits either ask questions or "We" the CAG Staff and Leadership feel that something needs to be explained or announced.
CAG is a very diverse clan with members all around the world, with being diverse comes many different playing styles and opinions on how online gaming should be played by gamers. CAG has a very strong and proven style which is our trademark and the reason why CAG has been at the top for over 10 years and still around since the year 2000.
So what is CAG's "Trademark", CAG stands for Combat Applications Group but Synonymously it also stands for "Camping All Game".
CAG has always and still believes that by "Camping" no clan can even compete or compare with Us. Most of the members of CAG who have been around for more than 1 year have bought into CAG's system and will swear by it.
CAG has a group who exclusively plays by setting up in one location, setting up a perimeter and each member is responsible for defending that area and nothing more. No member ever moves away from their designated area and no member moves past what CAG calls the "50 yard line".
CAG also practices a "No corner" policy which means that no member should ever turn a corner once they are set up and defending their location.
Below I will outline and explain as much as possible so that new members and recruits know what is expected from them by CAG Leadership.
Recruits
All recruits are expected to always follow orders from members of CAG and that means even a Private 1st Class. Recruits are asked in their application specific questions and one of them asks you to check off the game styles you play as, "Please check all the types of game styles you play as" .
Most recruits check off "Camper" and "Tactful" which means that they have no problem playing with disincline and patience and "Will" follow orders given to them by the squad leader during that game.
Recruits who check off "Runner" and "Aggressive" means that they are just that, aggressive Run n Gun players who don't like to play tactful and slow paced games and rather run around and go on the assault.
If a recruit checks off all the options they are expected to play according to the squad in which they are currently playing when online. If the squad leader says hold off an area, recruits are not allowed to run around and do their own thing.
Recruits will be placed by the squad leaders in the best possible location on maps to do the following:
- Obtain their Marksman's Medal and Dogg Ribbon
- Prove that they can hold their own, "Pull their weight"
- Prove that they can follow orders
- Convince CAG that they are CAG material
Squads and Game Lobbies
CAG supports all playing styles and that also includes Run n Gun "Runners" but recruits and members must recognize and be aware of the squad they are currently playing with.
CAG has a squad known as "Charlie Delta" that only plays the "Camping" play style and any member who joins a lobby in which Charlie Delta members are in, they are expected to first and foremost follow orders given to them without question.
Not all members of CAG play the tacful or camper styles and therefore are not required to play with members who do and that is why CAG places players in different squads according to their styles. If a recruit or member doesn't speak out about the squad in which they have been placed, they will be required to play how that squad plays.
Being placed in a squad however doesn't mean you have to play only with that squad and not allowed to play with others.
All members who prefer to play with other members who play their style need to get together to play together by using the forums to find other players who play their gamestyles.
Holding the 50
Charlie Delta and most CAG lobbies and squads will camp and follow the 50 yard line rule. This means that no member will cross the half way point on any map under any circumstances. Any member who does so will be ask to leave at the end of the game and will not be welcomed back to that lobby in the future.
On some maps the 50 yard line will be pushed back to the quarter point or the 25 which very rarely happens, this most likely means that everyone is either inside of a building or set up for an ambush on the other team.
Release the Hounds, Go Balls out !
At times you may hear a squad leader say "Release the hounds" or "Go balls outs", this happens when the squad is up by more than 25 kills or the squad leader feels that the squad can now go on the assault against the other team. At any point during a game in which the squad is up by more than 25 points any member is allowed to ask if they can release the hounds. If the squad leader denies the request no other member is to ask again until the squad leader decides to do so.
Setting Up With Assaultmen 1 or 2
In some games squad leaders will order the squad to set up and designate either 1 or 2 Assaultmen which are allowed to move around the whole map freely during the game, these team members will be held responsible for knowing what to do and must communicate at all times with the reast of the team by calling out all enemies they see moving towards his squad's position.
Assault Squads
An Assault Squad is composed of nothing but members who are designated as official Assaultmen on the official clan roster.
In order to become an Assaultment one of the following requirements must be met:
Lance Corporal
CAG Lance Corporals are members of the clan who are consistent on xbl and are eligible for fireteam leaders
In order to receive the Rank of Lance Corporal one of the following requirements must be met:
