Need Some Info On the New Terabyte Xbox One

Ok so I'm about 30 mins West Coast time I'm going to pick Up A New 1 Terabyte Xbox One With The Elite Controller Bundle ....

So I'm curious if any of you know if the Backwards capability with the 360 games is already active ?
I know this is a feature that's built in in this Xbox one ...
But I couldn't find any other info about it already being active ...

Because if so ... I will be jumping on black ops 2 and other veteran COD Ganes today for a bit before My Ass has to Go To Work ...
Any Info Will help ?????

I believe that the backwards compatibility doesn't happen until some point this month(not certain of the date) but typically it will be made available in the next xbox update

I was really hoping it was already active because I need a new game to help me get past these next few days till Friday haha
