I played like ten minutes of it after the big 'run down the hill pwning everything' intro. scene...buy sadly I had to get into my pit and sleep.

its a good game. the controls take a while to get use to. The gameplay is amazing. 60 fps and all the weapons seem balanced. would recommend picking it up.
Are the controls that much different then normal fps?

No the controls are almost identical to every FPS I have played there is just a few things to get use to like how to ground pound which require you to hold down the special abilites button and move the joystick to the area you want to slam. But all in all the game is fantastic and definitely worth getting in my opinion.
