Windows 10

I just bought a brand new Dell laptop for college last month and the "Free Upgrade to Microsoft 10" keeps popping up but I don't know if it is worth it or not. Everyone seems to freak out over these changes except certain upgrades have been a little better than others, so I was wondering where this upgrade fits in?? I have Windows 8-something and enjoy the touchscreen but I haven't really had to use this thing for anything but the Internet/Email/taking all the pictures and things I need to keep off my phones from the last 5 years (only 3, iPhone 3,4,5 lol). I know there are a TON of computer whiz kids on this site, Cheech is a prime example! Thanks for any advice, it is most appreciated.

Windows 10 is a great upgrade if you are using your computer for everyday basic life like surfing the internet or using other application. But if you plan on doing any type of video or photo production extensively I would recommend staying with Windows 8 because it has been established as a OS already and Windows 10 still has some bugs that need to be worked out. So its up to you based on what you are using it for.

Thanks. I don't do anything with it besides just store photos so I can clear out the old iPhones and iPad. I will need a lot of them for court but just to print as is since they are just texts/screenshots/photos. I mainly surf the web and that is about it. Only thing else I do is type papers up since the skank won't give me back the sweet desktop my Mom bought me for College BEFORE we married. So it will be awhile before the court case happens and I can legally get my shit back....55" TV, XBOX 360, like 200 movies and she can keep whatever else and choke on it.

Just be wary of all the privacy options. 10 records everything! So if you watch porn...make sure you check your security / privacy settings lol!

Seriously tho...worth having. I love being able to stream my xbox one to my PC now!

I should be good to go then since I don't watch porn at all, having my son around doesn't allow for much of that....he still likes to be my cuddlebug and won't sleep in his room. He hates his Mom so loves his shitty room there (I have all of his toys here, so when I put them away all nice and neat every night my bed and room is full of them the next day lol). But I raised him alone basically since he was 9-10 months old, his Mom prefers pot and being cool at the bars over being a parent.

What a coincidence I will be buying a lap top today tell me about yours Arctic I dont plan on spending more than 400.00 but am looking for one with windows 10 already installed.

I have windows 10 upgrade on my pc for the house I like it although the wife complains about it being slower than windows 8 I think its because of all the background app's running.

I love W10, got the free upgrade and have had not many issues with it as yet. The new Edge browser which comes installed is much better then IE. The Xbox app is great especially for videos and screenshots as you can use your PC instead of the Xbox button. You can also download your screenshots and recordings to your PC. The only thing I don't like is the OS updates which I think you can't disable and install manually although you can get notifications for restarting.
