Dead thugs lay scattered at our feet, all bearing the marks of a rival clan, Cacadores De Leoes. These "Lion Hunters," Brazilian punks who couldn't hold down their turf just got more than they expected.
We had walked in and were immediately outnumbered three to one. Tasty, Gemini, Jay and I had stepped into a shit storm without realizing what we were getting into. SECJay looked worried, he knew the cards were stacked against us, but then again, he always looked a little worried. We had a scant crew of locally-sourced backup, but none of them bore the stark black and red shields of CAG that we sported. Hopefully they would buy us the time we needed to push these scrubs off their block. We caught the locos off guard, their security was lax. Rapid bursts from my P90 and the short, sharp crack of Jay's 700 broke the silence, leaving a trail of bodies in our wake. The dying Leoes offered up their last Portuguese prayers and curses as we passed by. Tasty and Gemini pushed the other flank, providing needed crossfire. The fight blazed into the night and into the early hours. By sunrise, we had managed to prevail. My boys and I sat on the newly-claimed sidewalk and wiped the grime from our barrels, cigarettes hanging from our lips as we watched the sun rise and the street lights flicker off on fresh streets tagged by CAG.
