Good, I've seen people get that prescribed for having strep so I would have been pissed if they didn't give it to someone with FUCKING shingles in their throat!! Do you get seen at a VA facility/hospital or go to any ER and get referred for things to off post/civilian doctor offices?

Ah, ok. I've never had to deal with the medical side of the VA. They have a small facility in Anchorage but I'm pretty sure it's all administration and not medical treatment. We do have the highest population of Veterans PER CAPITA in the United States. I know here in Fairbanks all they have is a desk in the very back corner of the New/Nice Hospital, Bassett, on Fort Wainwright. Every time I come in that door next to it (closest to the Pharmacy when I pick my 2 week refills up or pick them up after my Dr Appointment and leave) it's like a Funeral just happened. Old people everywhere, young ones trying to figure things out, and NOBODY is ever smiling. Gld I have access to my same normal doctor in the Family Practice there.
