I was in highschool. English class was in the middle of lecture when out of nowhere, the wall mounted TV turned on to CNN. We sat there while we watched our country get punched in the nose. It was on that day that I vowed to do whatever I had to do to get in the service. I remember the very next day, every single home on the street I lived on had an American flag flying from it. Those attacks not only woke America up, it united the nation in a way that no one expected.
My thoughts and prayers go out every year to the families of those lost in that heinous attack as well to the 3k+ service members that were killed in action.
