Ranked Play, COD:AW Question

I was under the impression that the Ranked Play Game Mode was for Clan on Clan games, so tell me if I'm wrong. If it is open to any player does it benefit the clan at all when members play Ranked or is it just for the individual?? I haven't been in a Clan on COD:AW before and still am not officially on anyone's clan roster so I'm not sure what helps the clan and what being part of a clan on the game does or doesn't do. Thanks in advance!

Ranked is a solo competitive playlist. You play and if you win you rank up in your division. The clan doesn't have a rank in ranked play, but every player does.

Anyone can play in it, you don't need a clan. Just for good practice
