Work History...

So... I have always called myself a Jack of all trades... I've done a little of this and a little of that... but here's my work history, which pretty much says it all:

1. 15 yo - Bruster's Ice Cream - served ice cream
2. 15 yo - Dollar Tree - worked cash register at a store where everything cost $1 (and unloaded trucks... and restocked the shelves)
3. 16 yo - Kroger - bagger / cashier / book keeper
4. 18 yo - Georgia Bank & Trust - teller
5. 18 yo - Bi-Lo - bagger / cashier / book keeper / deli assistant
6. 18 yo - County Sheriff's Office - 911 operator / dispatcher / underage alcohol sales (while working at Bi-Lo)
7. 18 yo - Scott's landscaping - mow grass, etc (While working at Bi-Lo and Sheriff's Office)
8. 20 yo - USAF - Air Traffic Control - tellin' planes what to do
9. 23 yo - USAF - Avionics Technician [redacted] [classified] [top secret]
10. 26 yo - Lowe's - Electrical Pro (sold wire, lights, etc... anything electrical)
11. 27 yo - State College Police Department - 911 operator / dispatcher
11. 28 yo - State College Police Department - Access Control Systems Analyst (card readers and biometrics)

I literally went from "burger flipper" to doing an industry specialized job. There are 10k students at my college and 15k faculty... Myself and my boss are the only 2 that do what I do. We supervise all biometric and card readers, troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix them when they're broken, and it doesn't stop there. We will trace issues back to electrical and IT panels and switches, debug our programming, etc. We also act as local IT for the Police Department.
