I had similar issues with paxil about 16 years ago. Took my self off of it with the support of a youth specialist that monitored my behavior on and off the drug.
I will prolly step on a few toes with this one but to be perfectly honest... i switched to marijuana and have never looked back.
My issues spin from not being able to control the amount of thoughts whether productive or destructive that process at a time making me distracted anxious sometimes angry (to the point of black out). Weed slows me down forces my brain to function in a zone that increases my energy and productivity. It relaxes me and i actually get proper sleep.
I know its illegal in most places and even the places where it is legal it is difficult to convince a practioner to prescribe that substance for anxiety and depression. But dont just turn around and vecome a huge stoner, to help with anxiety and depression, marijuana needs to be properly dosed and administered or you can actually worsen the conditions you are trying to treat. Took me prolly about 4-5 years of exploring different strains and dosing methods to figure out what works best. Of course with the limitless variations that can occur with the illegally attained products (from chemicals in soil, to not even knowing the genus name of the strain your "provider" is "dealing") What i did figure out is how to classify certain characteristics like density, moisture, colour, visible crystallization, intensity of odor. And based on my experience different qualifiers will change how i administer my dosages. I do however always try a bit when i first get a bag. Always the same amount and the rest isnt touched until that first bit has completely run through my blood. This way i get knowledge about a specific batch that my senses cannot deduce.
I am just reving up my research again and formulating my game plan as to whom and how i can approach to be awarded access to pristine guaranteed quality without worrying about getting caught possessing or what chemicals thw soil may have.
