I took 3 years of latin in high school, and while that's been roughly 15 years ago, something didn't sit well with me reading the clan's latin motto. I went to my #1 guy and had him do some math for me, and this is what he got:
I'm thinking you guys wanted the dogs of hell thing... but it doesn't quite add up. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, just pointing it out

Just because you went to google's translator doesn't mean it's right .... you need to do every word by itself to see what you get and how to order it ...
Canibus = Dogs (plural form) dative form of Canis which means dog
Ex =
exfrom, of, out of, By, on, through
Tartarus = infernal regions (pl.)| the underworld (Hell)
Nex =
nexdeath, violent death, murder, slaughter, blood of the slain, natural death
At or Ad = to
Totus = all
Say what you want the translation is fine , you don't have to like it but I got this translation from a friend who knows latin and he got it confirmed by his teacher ...there are a few other threads about this ...

Many,many others have said what you have said within different threads shiv.
I cant say I know Latin but I will say that to my knowledge and understanding that any single word within any language can be interpreted differently depending on the way in which its spoke or read.
Just like how a note of text can be written and took many different ways but not really be the meaning that the person writing it was trying to portray.
Its a matter of how someone actually intends to read or perceive something.

But Latin IS a very specific language JB. ..there are do many rules, it's really insane. ...nevertheless I was satisfied with the translation I was given and picked

From my years here I have got to know the sense that you like to do you research when it comes to putting information on the forums and its because of this that I am quite happy to read such information that you provide knowing that its from a good source.

No need to get upset. I mentioned in my post that I didn't THINK it looked right. I was looking for an explanation and you provided it. Again, I meant no harm; I was just looking for clarification.
No upset here as iv already seen quite a few threads like yours before and back then it did arouse curiosity but the same answer that Cheech provided for yourself he provided for others.
Man we've a lot of topics that we have discussed on the forums that can be found through a simple search,that is one of the reasons why we don't delete threads.
