I am part Cherokee. But Oregon has a great team, school, and is beautiful. Norman, OK is a nice area and the school is really good as well but it's all about happiness. I chose Alaska when I joined, born in OK and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta....moved here and loved it. When I was medically retired I had the choice to move back to Georgia where my Mom-Brother-Sister (spouses/kids) lived or even Oklahoma but I came back to the place where I was happy....Alaska.

I've never been to Alaska. My pops did the whole crab fishing in the Bering sea after the Navy, he said he loved alaska

Well Chong you're more than welcome to come visit. Free place to stay and I can show you whatever you want to see. I've hunted Caribou up the Dalton Highway near the Arctic Ocean (WAY PAST The Arctic Circle north) and I've been as far South as the road goes to the ports of Valdez, Seward, and finally Homer (and across the bay from Homer to Seldovia). I've extensively fished every River, creek, lake on the road system and hunted game as well. I also know every interesting place both in Fairbanks and Anchorage as well as the "Off Road" stuff. I was stationed in Anchorage before being stationed in Fairbanks, then California, Washington, then Retired back here.
