Metal Gear Solid

Just wondering if any of you guys are going to download it as its free with gold? Thoughts on the Metal Gear series? I'm going to check it out. I know its not multiplayer but just wondering if its as good as previous installments.

Man I got wind of this last night when beast mentioned I was free while we where playing world of tanks last night ( Thanks Beast )and I set it to download overnight.


I'm a big fan of the series but I must admit iv only played the original that released on playstation 1 back in the day.It wasn't that I lost interest but it was more so that I couldnt afford to keep up with the series.


Konami working with Hideo Kojima has always been a legendary partnership producing amazing games within the metal gears series.


What keeps drawing me to this game series is the fact that the Japanese artwork involved within the game series is completely immaculate and not far from being perfect.


Il definitely be playing this when no ones online.

I thought Metal Gear in the older series was indeed multiplayer. I remember being able to crawl through vents and you had your mercenaries and your hidden players that could sneek behind someone grab them in a choke hold whisper something in their ear and then snap their neck.

I think a few of them actually did have that multiplayer option but it was the real early ones.
I think that fizzled out because Konami and Hideo wanted to work on what they did best with the story lines and the imagery.
