    Tips To Lose Weight In a Good Way


    Its been a while since I really got into a health grind but now I'm more serious then ever. I used to be at a comfy weight at 165. At that weight I felt confident in myself. Thats when I used to be really into my martial arts. But after a sever back injury I no longer practice anymore. I'm past the 220 mark now and need to do something. I want to be able to lose weight in a safe way to where I can feel great again and not tirerd all the time. Any suggestions and tips would be great and helpful. Mostly doing this because I want to do more with my wife and son.

    Diet is key, then start working out. If you want to burn it all off, I would suggest a low carb and metabolism diet like Bob said. Also running every other morning for a few miles helps. I was close to 190, and dropped 20lbs in 2 months to join the Navy.

    What worked/is working for me was eating 6-8 small meals a day and at least 1 from each group. Low carb, low cal, zero sugar. A typical day is about 800-1000 calories. On top of that I strive for 8000-10000 steps a day even if that's 4k at work and a 4-6k brisk walk, possibly with running intervals. I always wear a thick ass sweatshirt when I workout in any capacity be it weight training or cardio. Obviously weights are out but that shouldn't be an issue for general weight loss especially at such a low weight but coming down from 400 I need/needed to tone my body.

    Currently at 265 and going down every other day or so even without exercise due to a sprained ankle.

    Also make sure to drink 72+ ounces of water per day with the goal of 112. I think that's a gallon. Your piss should be clear essentially. The more yellow it is the more dehydrated you are.

    The running and walking is no problem because I work as a unloader for walmart fuve days out of the week. Im constantly walking 25,000 plus steps each day im there. The dieting part will be the hardest I think for me until I get something that works for me. Thank you all for the tips so far. Anything more would be great.

    Well so far I have been walking an average of over 30,000 steps five days a week. On my days Off I make an effort to at least walk 10,000. I have stayed true to the food I have chosen to eat and haven't eaten at any fast food places. Only challenge is the soda drinking problem..

    I dropped like 35 pounds initially just cutting that out. Even if you ween yourself off it's better but long term, soda is no bueno.
