I'm using now the hotspot for Verizon and T-Mobile because I travel a lot.. How do you change the internet channel

A hot spot isn't meant for gaming. It's meant for handling your basic needs i.e. Facebook, email etc.
this is probably why you lag as much as you do bud. Not much you can honestly do about that.
When you're home, I would stro bf ly recommend direct connecting your Xbox to your router.
I would also suggest doing as Cheech said and then calling and seeing if there's any upgrades but honestly on a Hotspot I'm not even sure an upgrade difference would be enough to even warrant paying the extra money for.

When im changing my channel I type in my ip address within the search bar of the internet browser and it takes me straight to my settings page for my router and ISP.
Not to sure if this is achievable with different providers but I would assume its somewhat similar.
If your IP search fails search the term changing my channel and add you ISP company name at the end and you should be able to get something from there

192.168.0.1 is normally the IP for ISP settings for your router. This normally sends you to a login page where you put in your routers password and it should let you change. Virgin Media's normally "changeme" as the starter password other ISP passwords I don't know.

Test your internet speed first ... go here: http://www.speedtest.net/
Then click on image and copy the link .. then click on the image icon above in the tools bar next to the 2 globes and insert the link to display your test results ....
If you have anything lower than a 5.00 Mb/s for upload then you need to find a new ISP ....
