I have an excel spreadsheet at work for my time card and all of my formulas are good but one now and I can't figure it out. Ok it goes like this cells C through F are start and stop start and stop times which are as follows for example C11 is 03:00 D11 is 21:00 E11 is 21:30 and F11 is 02:00 that's 10.5 hours. The formula we are using is
=IF((((D11-C11)+(F11-E11))*24)=8,8,(((D11-C11)+(F11-E11))*24)
That will not work with there technically being two different 24 hour time frames for the clock ins. Can you help me figure this out lol I spent about two hours trying to do a formula that would work for this so both shifts can use the spread sheet.
The formula is supposed to take the two separate punch ins and collect the total number of hours worked for that shift but since it stops for second shift at 2 am the next morning it is screwing my formula up big time.
Anyone with it's good computer knowledge as well or even just excel formula knowledge please help I have spent about 4 hours trying to fix what my HR department has messed up because my second shift has to at the moment white out the hour portions and correct by hand making this very inefficient
