It was addressed when his Marksman challenge was being explained. When I talk to him next online I will repeat it and explain why it's important to be active on the forums as well.

He should be reading this so I am going to give a brief explanation why the forums are important.

CAG has been one if not the most well established clan around because of our ranking structure, unit system and promotion system as well. Members are not required to be active on the forums but in order to move up the chain of command and get promoted which what a lot of players are looking for from a clan, they need to show us that they are committed to us as we are to them. If they show us commitment we in turn promote them and allow them to be designated and official billeted leaders in the clan.

We emphasize leadership starting with our lowest rank which is a Private and not Private 1st Class. Even though recruits are not official members we also look for leadership traits and qualities, the intangibles that make players leaders from the start. You can never have enough leadership especially in a clan that is as deep in everything from our ranking system to how we promote and deal with daily clan matters.

While we don't necessarily have a written manual or text book of how we run things, all current members of CAG are expected to know our hidden "Credo" and especially our Code of Conduct. Being active on the forums keeps everyone updated on what is going on with the clan and keeps everyone updated also on promotion opportunities which can only be know of if everyone is active on the forums.

Many members end up quitting because they don't get promoted, yet they never took or take the time to read through the forums and understand how our promotion system works. We have a Chain of Command section which gives very detailed information on the requirements for each rank starting from prospects all the way to 4 star generals. Not many recruits even bother or care to read it and end up disillusioned when they find out that they can't or wont be promoted because they haven't met the requirements to get a promotion.

Keep in mind folks that while playing is ok but forum is like the one we have is a place where you get your questions answered.
You learn a lot from your fellow brother(s) & sister(s) in CAG just by posting even if it's a few times a week.
