Any Audio/visual Techies Around?

Just need to know if this setup will work so I can get my Xbox one back into the kitchen

Im going to run my Xbox to a 21 inch VGA pc monitor using a HDMI to VGA convertor for video and the adaptor has a 3.5mm audio Jack on the HDMI side so I'll be running my pc speakers into it and then running a headset through the headphones port on the speakers for sound

On paper this will work but has anybody actually tried it or know for a fact if it'll work or not?

My only other choice I have is using a toslink cable to a soundbar but I haven't the funds to do that at the moment so hopefully this is a gd way to work it

There cheap and cheerful but I obv don't want to spend loads of hard earned until I know for a fact it'll work

Looks good man! If the converter does what it says it will (which it will from what I've read about them), you should be ballin! Only thing I'd suggest would be to make sure the speakers have a 3.5mm connection on them and not just the USB one. If you've got an extra tenner to spend I'd love to recommend you a better pair!

Hey reccomend away Drake, I don't mind forking out an extra Tenner, just REALLY didn't want to spend upwards of 80 www uid on a toslink d-a converter and a soundbar

BTW the speakers have a USB power connection and a 3.5mm input so providing all the hardware is compatible it SHOULD work lol
