Not sure if this is relevant or of any use to you or not, but I was just searching issues with connecting to MC Servers.

If I am understanding it correctly, the IP that you gave me for the server is what would be used for other users wanting to connect to the server using the same network as you, but it isn't set up for users outside of that network? At least thats how I am understanding what I read.

ok so I cant seem to get the server to work right so I am looking at the Relms
it is a server hosted by Mojang and is open 24/7 to the listed players
the server can have 20 people on the list but only 10 can be on the server at one time
if there is enough intrest from you all I will go the price of the Relm and get one started this weekend
so all that are interested please speak up in this thread

we tried the server again and Parch and Randuken joined it so it is up and running but I think a server on some one else would still be better
Yeah, I tried the second IP that you gave me; both with and without the port.. Couldn't connect.

I have a few servers of my own if you need help starting one up just make that with multiple people your pc has enough ram
