It fees like Need For Speed hasn't gone away for long, that's because it hasn't. The last one was in 2013 but EA have said they consider this a full reboot, that's why it is simply titled Need For Speed.
Commenting on the game the studio have said it will draw on the key pillars that made the franchise successful: "deep customisation, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative that pulls you through the game."
The first look at it can be viewed below.
The game is being developed by Ghost Games, a Swedish studio who were responsible for the last effort in the series, Need For Speed: Rivals.
The game will land on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in the Autumn.
""Need for Speed is one of the most iconic names in gaming,
and we're returning it to greatness in this reboot. Pulling on our 20
years of history and then taking a year out from releasing a game,
we are making the game we've always wanted to. We're listening to the fans
and delivering an experience that will capture their imagination
and unleash their passion for cars and speed.""
This sounds epic!!
What do the rest of you guys think? - i know i was speaking to CAG Queen yesterday about NFS and i happened to mention i thought "The Crew" was better... this is largely because it reminds me of what the NFS franchise used to be though this all may change with the once great NFS going back to it's roots.
Well, that's my thought anyway
