Dark Souls 2 Help/Questions Thread

I know HG is the resident DS2 master round here so here's hoping he, or any other DS2 masters, can swing in and answer some questions.

I'm gonna kick it off cause I'm stuck on The Pursuer boss fight.

At this point, I've lost as much max health as possible. My roll skills suck against this guy, I can't seem to avoid an attack so I'm trying to parry and go for the the ballista approach. I have no magic to finish him even after getting the hit so it should be interesting but regardless, any tips overall cause I can't time the parry. I did just figure out it's RT and not RB though lol. Or should I just try and straight fight him? I get so fucked up that way though.

Any help/tips is appreciated.

Okay I can help. However what is your build (what are your stats)? And what weapon are you using?
For any boss fight in dark souls 2 you have to learn their attacks. Are they about to do their two hit combo, 3 hit combo or his lunge attack etc... When you learn these then you can find an opening to attack. If your unfamiliar with the boss or just want to play it safe just go in for one hit or 2 hits max and back off.. Do not let your stamina bar become exhausted. If he starts to swing you need to role the fuck out of there.

Also make sure your weapon is upgraded... If you go to the black smith at mujula and buy the battle axe it's pretty good especially when you upgrade it.

You say your health is super low well I would suggest breaking a humanity and it will make you human and restore all your lost health. In dark souls 2 when you die you lose a portion of your health. You will continue to lose your health bar until your at 50 % HP.

Also one more thing did you ever get a white soap stone? Not the small one either

I got him like 15 minutes after I posted this lol. I said fuck parrying, rolled his opening attack and ran to a ballista and 2 hit that sum bitch.

Battle axe over broad sword? I also found a fire sword I've been enjoying.

How bout upgrading my first catalyst? Recommend?

If you are a Mage definitely upgrade your catalyst.

Nah I just use it for ranged attacking.
