Hdmi to dvi shouldn't cause any lag issues but you will notice a quality difference, 2ms is also very good, I think I'm gona buy a 22 inch benq when I save up a few pound

Like brian said, will only have quality difference. I got a 27" Iiyama screen with HDMI.

As i doubt I can find a decent monitor with hdmi within a budjet that i can afford, and i dont even know if i will like the smaller screen, i think i will just pick up an adapter on Monday and give it a shot with the 21 inch lg i have here.
You can get a benq online for about 100 £ it's not cheap but it's worth it
