so i have been watching the show friday night lights and it got me wondering:

Is football like that (NFL)???


In Aus, we don't get any of that, apart from lingerie football (damn!)

so, tell me about it.

Any good? The american stereotypes over here is that you guys get drunk an watch the game 24/7, and I just don't see the enjoyment?

European football is so much better haha I am not a particular fan in american football anymore since my dad forced me to watch it and make silly bets...I mean its a great bonding time with friends, family, and neighbors. Also I cannot get drunk due to "age" issues (unless I got to Cananda every weekend) and 24/7 sounds like a lot of time :P

Football is great. It is kind of like FNL. NFL is just a bunch of men pumped up on testosterone. That is what makes it fun to watch.

American football is interesting when you get into the strategy involved within the depth of each position matchup, and the whole teams. There is a lot going on every play. Going to the games and getting pretty drunk is quite fun, but I don't do it often. Also no one likes the

Everyone gets drunk for everything. It feels more socially acceptable when there's a reason.

I personally enjoy fantasy football. It gives me a reason to watch a team play other than Denver and the team they are about to shit on. Keeping track of stats also keeps my mind off my mundane job.

Other than that, I like seeing people get laid out. I'm American and as such I have a inexplicable thirst for violence but hey, at least I can admit it.

Honestly, hockey can be more interesting to watch. At least most teams play defense unless Alex Ovechkin is on your squad.
