Rep Power And Rep Points

Alright, I've searched the forum, as well as similar threads before posting this. I have also been on a roll asking stupid questions today so i figured i would strike while the iron was hot...

but what is rep points and particularly rep power? Is any of it linked to my xbox account? Is the rep power the post count over 200 characters? Or is it all just a basic mathematical representation of how active a member is on the CAG forums? Just trying to get a handle on all things forum related. ...for the recruits...of course...lol

From what I can gather, Rep Points are earned and Rep Power are earned in two different ways. Rep Power is earned through your rank within the clan (which is decided by your time in the clan and on the website) and Rep Points are earned specifically through the amount of posts you made. Rep Power can also be bestowed upon someone, but I think you can only give someone said points once per day.

It has to do with giving thumbs up or a fucking hell yeah to a post. But you also can give REP points.

You have to give rep points to 5 different people before you can hit the same one again ...this is to prevent rep point boosting ....

This is how the reputation system works:

Default Reputation
All members receive 10 user points upon registration

Register Date Factor
For every 7 days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power

Post Count Factor
For every 10 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power

Reputation Point Factor
For every 100 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power

Minimum Post Count
How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10 posts

Minimum Reputation Count
How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? 500
Administrators are exempt from this limit

Reputation User Spread
How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? 5
Administrators are exempt from this limit

I might of missed a thing or two but this is a quick breakdown of the Reputation System .... hope this helps you guys out and encourages you guys to use it more ...

You get points for signing onto the forums, days you log in ..you get points for getting "Fucking Hell Yeahs" people can also give you points...your Rep Power gets determine by how much Rep you are given and how much you give out as well ...

You do lose rep points and power if you don't log in after so many days ...
