Clan Wars Setup / Breakdown - Subscribe

Hello everyone, as most of you saw last week, we had set teams for the Clan Wars. I’d like to keep on this pace but in a different format that will ensure top of the line communication and performance in game. I’ll give an example layout below and then follow up with the reasoning behind it and my expectations.

    Alpha Team:

Leader: This position will act as the shot caller and direct contact during Clan Wars. On top of this they will maintain their roster by ensuring their members are posting on the forum with their availability as each new Clan Wars is announced. It needs to be done in a timely manner as once roster locks are done that is it.

Starter 1: Will be a full time starter for Clan wars as long their time is slotted for full 8 hours. If the player on the bench can make both days for the full slotted time they will be prioritized above you.

    Starter 2: ^

    Starter 3: ^

    Starter 4: ^

    Starter 5: ^

Bench 1: This spot is designated for new recruits that just got processed. You’re valuable to us. You will play the role of swing player until we can assign you a designated team. As Bravo Company grows more teams will become available as well as starting positions. Your primary spot will still be with this team if one of their members are unable to make it. Otherwise we’ll stick you into a starting role for a Clan Wars with another team.

    Bench 2: ^

The teams will be picked in a leadership meeting. We’ll present the roster of available players and each Team Captain will pick in a Snake Draft format. The order of picking will be randomized using random.org – We’ll continue filling out teams using the same order of the draft as recruits get processed. As more recruits come into Bravo more teams will be opened. So your benches may change as they move up into Starter roles for another team but your Starters stay with you.

Once teams are setup they are set in stone. THAT is your team for every clan war that happens in the future. The only way your roster change’s is if you notice a weakness. i.e. you don’t have a true slayer / objective player or role player. We want to make all teams equally strong. The best way to do this is to ensure we know our teams and that comes with playing time together.

We expect a lot from those that signup for the leadership position. You MUST be able to make MOST clan Wars for the full allotted time. You must be willing to work with your team in a manner that doesn’t disrespect their skill set and make sure that you’re providing full communication and relaying any vital information to them. This is not a position that gives you any authority in the clan. It is however and could be a stepping stone to doing so. If you’re not willing to be a shot caller / to communicate with your team on upcoming clan Wars and with leadership then please do not sign up.

If more leaders signup then we have available for the amount of teams we can currently hold, then the leader positions will be picked by Bravo Company leadership (Nutjob, Headhunter, Nasty and myself). If you don’t get picked. Don’t feel slighted. Bravo Company is growing every week more teams will be formed and with more teams comes more opening for a leadership position within X1 Predators Squad. So just wait it out and bare with us. We realize we can’t satisfy everyone but trust us we want to!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d like to get this up and going before next Clan Wars.Once teams are setup try and get playing time in on specific game types i.e. Domination / TDM / Hardpoint etc.. so you know your weakness and and strengths and can kind of setup your strategies for each game type. Keep in mind Cheechdogg is working on MVP awards. Let’s see which team can house the most MVP’s. I also would like all X1 Predators members to subscribe to this thread. As the teams are setup any information will be posted here.

If you have any suggestions to this setup or anything you'd like to add please post below. I'd like to hear your thoughts. This isn't a dictatorship it's a democracy. Any and all input is encouraged. We're all in this as a team! As a man I know likes to say "Team work makes dream work" lol!

Clan wars sounds like a blast and hope to join in on the fun..

I just wish I could commit more time to gaming. I'd love to pick up something full time and run with it. Improving my game, and working with the rest of the clan. My problem now is time... Working 11-12 hours a day (which I'm thinking about leaving my job because management is a pain in the backside).

Gaming, starting up a YouTube channel, and exploring my options. Would love to get into it, and do what I can to become a more consistent player.

I guess my first step is getting involved with clan wars; hit me up when it's running and I'll do my best to participate.

Sign me up for a leader position, if I may suggest instead of having set teams being able to rate teams which will give those that are newer to CAG the opportunity to learn other play styles and to maybe pick something up to better themselves instead of seeing the same team members and to be able to grow more as a player. This will enable positive feedback to the newer processed recruits for things to try and learn as well.

I'll be a leader. I mean, I already am one anyway might as well make it official.

The point of having set teams is to better communication as an entire X1 Predators Roster and to better have the ability to establish weakness of teams so that we can manipulate rosters based on that. Establishing different teams for every single Clan wars is A LOT of work. It takes away the communication process that I'm referring to and doesn't really give us the ability to allow players to work on their weakness or manipulate rosters based on Weakness. We'll know our rosters strengths as we get more adapt to playing with set rosters.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "Rate teams" if you could go into more depth that would be appreciated. Thanks.

I appreciate your comments. However, this is for the Xbox one side for Advanced Warfare, looking at your profile you're on the 360 side. Alpha Company does their things a little differently. You may want to get in touch with your leadership and express your desire to be apart of what they got going on over there. I know they just smashed out a quality Plat Division win!

I meant rotate teams, being on a set team will be effective for learning to communicate with those on that team, but it could hinder learning others way of communicating. This is a great idea, but this is just my suggestion as this is how CAG has always been, in the sense of having effective communication. For those of us who have already played in the clan wars with each other we are used to how each other communicates, and I think by putting newer members on a set team may not be indicative to learning other communication methods. For example lets say the team I am on for clan wars ends up having two members missing for clan wars, and we need to fill those sports by re-arranging members on other teams, well we get in game and they have no idea of what we are talking about when we do a call out or make a reference to something. By getting on a set team and setting aside days to practice together could start to take away time to be with recruits, or being able to play with other clan members. Again these are just my suggestions, but I like the idea

Subscribed, but a thought what about players that are better at hardcore then core. My thought is should there just be hardcore squad setup to that attack/defend the hardcore nodes at the beginning of clan wars?

During off periods of Clan Wars we're already running with different people anyway. So those call outs will come, we all use the same call outs. Call outs aren't a team by team basis - CAG pretty much has a set call outs of their own just like any other clan does. The call outs should be pretty universal - if they're not then me and Starkey will push out the call outs we tried to work on around the Holidays ahead and try and get them hammered out.

Aside from that, the reason I like this setup better is it's less stressful on a Clan War by Clan War basis. It puts people in position to inform them and allow for extra accountability. As people get more adapt to playing with their group and listening to their "Shot caller" and understanding the fundamentals of winning as a team it only makes our core stronger.

To add on to that, by putting players in a position to lead a CAG X1 Predators team it allows for them to show us what they bring to the table which gives us (Myself, you, Nasty, Head, Nut etc.) the ability to see the leading potential of others. We're a fast growing company so providing this extra avenue helps when deciding on future promotions to go along with what we already have set.
