As I said in my other post, this information is directly from the Battlefield wikia on Hardline. My opinions are of my own. Here are the Gadgets given to us:
All Kits- Gas Mask, Grappling Hooks, Zip-Line, T62 CEW(Taser), Tracking Dart, Stunt Driver
Melee Weapons-
Knife- Kinfe, Boot, Bowie, Carbon Fiber, Scout, Seal, Survival, Trench, ACB-90, Machete, Shank
Blunt Weapons- Police Baton, Baseball Bat, Crowbar, Lead pipe, Sledgehammer, Blackjack, Breaching Hammer, Collapsible Baton, Nightstick, Golf Club
Grenades- M67 Frag, Gas Grenade, M18 Smoke, Incendiary Device, Molotov, M84 Flashbang
Operator- First Aid Pack, Revive, Survivalist
Mechanic- M320, M79, Repair Tool, Saboteur Kit, Armored Insert, Satellite Phone
Enforcer- Ammo Box, Ballistic Shield, Breaching Charge
Professional- Laser Tripmine, Camera, Decoy, Self-Training
So looking at all of that let me explain a few of the gadgets.
Tracking Dart will be used as a magnet that sticks to vehicles. It can then be locked on upon by an AT Launcher. Basically I see this as a cross between PLDs and SOFLAM. Fire once and follow without having to keep a constant visual of it.
Stunt Driver will act more so as a perk or passive gadget for when a player gets into a vehicle. It will give a nitrous-speed boost for a few seconds as well as making the vehicle able to withstand collisions easier.
Revive will be like Defibrillators, but there may be a chance where you can only have a couple to a few on you. With the chance that you can't recharge since it is basically like an Epi-pen. Maybe it will be able to be collected from an Ammo Box. One thing is for sure, you will be able to kill people with them just like the Defibs.
Survivalist will be similar to the Revive, but can be used to inject oneself five seconds after death. Some may think this is OP which it could be, but it is said that it will revive you to 1% health, and you can only revive yourself from non-critical injuries. These may be explosions, roadkill, fall damage, and maybe a few other things.
M320 and M79 are class specific to Law Enforcement and Criminals respectively. Its the same thing. Grenade Launcher.
Saboteur Kit will rig a vehicle to explode upon entry. Not clear if it will do so for just enemies, or friendly as well.
Armored Insert acts just like a perk, but is like the stunt driver as a gadget. It is body armor that allows for a few more bullet damage to the chest than normal. I can already see players complaining of wearing this and getting shot in the head and claiming hacks...
Satellite Phone works just like the Radio Beacon that the Recon class has. It was originally for the Professional class but was changed for balancing purposes. This could be fun...
Laser Tripmine will act like the claymore. However the laser is considerable shorter, but the charge and explosion will be large with enough of an effect to have on vehicles. Another however, it will be a hard to miss object, so key placement will be in open spaces where players may not check before running into.
Camera will act like the TUGS but only give a 90 degree view to spot from. They are small and can be moved.
Stealth Training will act like a perk but again be a gadget where the player is more silent when moving and switching weapons.
Here is a list of Vehicles to be used in Hardline:
Armored Vehicles- Armored Rescue Vehicle, Hardened Attack Truck, Mobile Command Post, Syndicate Crew Cab
Police Automobiles- Squad Car, Police Interceptor, Intervention SUV
Civilian Automobiles-Sedan, Utility Van, Muscle Car, Fuel Tanker, Armored SUV
Motorcycles- Police Motorcycle, Street bike
Helicopters- Transport Helicopter, Executive Helicopter, Patrol Helicopter, Rogue Chopper
Naval Craft- Air-boat
Mobile Command Post and Syndicate Crew Cab will both act as mobile spawns for their respective teams. Just like the AMTRAC it is bulletproof and can only be damaged by explosives. It can also move stationary objects.
Interceptor/Muscle Car are faster and more agile than Squad Car/Sedan
Both SUVs are armored, have bullet-proof glass, and are equipped with mini-guns liek that of the transport helis and rib boats of BF4 and past
Transport/Executive Helicopters now sit 6 people. 1 pilot, 1 Co-pilot, 2 Gunners, 2 Passengers. Doors can be closed for added protection.
Patrol and Rogue will act like the Scout Helios, with the exception of just having a pilot and gunner.
Utility Van is special because it can carry 5 passengers. 2 in front. 1 on the side (who can open the side door) and 2 in the back. Side door can be opened and closed while driving.
Air-boat is self explanatory.
Annnnnnnd DISCUSS!
