Hello everyone, it has been a very long time since I was last here but I have good reasons for popping in.

But before I let you guys know why I am here allow me to explain my absence. As some of you know I live in Switzerland and my area has very limited internet resources. They are doing a lot of upgrades around my area but they are still not quite there yet. Anyways, I have dual citizenship in Switzerland and in Egypt but I stayed in Egypt since last July and had no access to internet there due to strict internet restrictions.

I am back here in Bern Sui. and had a chance to talk with Cheech. We talked for a few hours today and I am going to spend the next few weeks updating and maintaining the website and forums for Cheech.

Anyone who needs something please contact me not Cheech regarding forum issues or concerns.

So now let me update you on what I have done and will be doing in the next few days.

I disabled the feature to allow registered members and recruits the ability to use different color fonts, different fonts and the size of fonts on forum posts, private messages, picture comments, visitor messages and social group messages. This was done because a lot of members are posting using fonts and colors that are very difficult to read. I saw Cheech saying something to a recruit but the recruit continued to use difficult to read colors and fonts. All other usergroups except recruits and registered users are allowed to use different colored fonts and fonts, but please be considerate of others when posting.

Proper forum conduct is now going to be expected to be practiced by all members. I was very shocked to see so much fighting and disagreements being posted in the wrong places on the forums. Unless you guys want me to be very strict with this, I suggest you guys try a little harder and stop acting like kids and act more like adults and carry good dialogue on the forums, be respectful of each other and know when to and when not to post certain comments about each other. These forums are not censored but from what I have seen there has been a lot of disrespect happening and that is not acceptable.

I know there are going to be a lot of people who do not agree with some of the things that are going to happen and change in the upcoming days and weeks and some that will not be happy with me overseeing and monitoring forum conduct, but Cheech has asked me to do this and I will be doing as Cheech has asked me to.

Most of my decisions will depend on what I see from you guys on the forums. If I don't have to warn anyone or step in during forum discussions then you guys can carry on as usual. We do not want to make the forums an uncomfortable place to visit but proper conduct is expected from everyone.

I will also be organizing the forums and removing any unnecessary forums, threads and areas to make the forums more easy to navigate. I will need for CAG Randuken and CAG MERZiN8 to get with me and get feedback on what they think should be done in regards to the forums, old threads and forum layout.

I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way and you guys start to feel uncomfortable, but Cheech needs help and he has asked me to help out and I am.

Do you guys feel that it is still necessary for us to stay on top100clans.com ? Cheech has some concerns about the type of players that come from top100clans.com and is considering pulling CAG from the site. He wants to hear everyone's opinions and all possible feedback regarding this.

Another concern of his is the performance of the forums. He wants to know if you guys are having any issues with the site and forums loading or if you are getting any errors of any kind.

We are discussing switching to a different host but would need donations to help with the costs of the new server. Plans are to switch to a dedicated server which would allow better features such as a chat box or chat system, faster load times, no down time which I hardly ever see on this host and server and the possibility of selling add space to advertisers to help fund giveaways, prizes and other stuff like that.

So please you guys, we want your feedback on what I just posted above. If you guys have suggestions or ideas please post them.

Yes, Ma'am. Anything I can do to assist. I am all about it. I have a high interest in learning to inner workings of this type of thing.

I use Safari from time to time to troubleshoot errors that people report, so far I have never come across the error you get and the reload you are reporting ...breaks says he has that happen to him as well ...

We actually might do a complete overhaul of the forums in a couple of months but we have to run some test on a test site to make sure everything runs the same if we decide to do the big overhaul ... it's not necessary though but Jadzia mentioned it to me earlier today ....

The roster does need to be cleaned up I agree ... like you said anything over 6 months is almost certain that they are no longer interested .... I will need both Randy and Merz to make a list with all the members with over 6 months of inactivity ...or if you can get that list Reaper it would be much appreciated ....

The cleanup up of the forums is also something Jadzia wants to do .... I personally don't mind old posts being there but she does lol ....

As far as the Top100 clans, I am agreement with Nesty. It does bring in a few good people. And if we are trying to get our name out there, it does help. I do my best to vote at least once a day, or every other day. But being on it for 2 years going on three, is an accomplishment in and of itself. And regardless, of whether we have top100 or not, there will still be people that join and fall off for whatever reason. Some people cannot wrap their head around using forums. They are great players, but to them, its playing. Using a computer or their phone for more than Facebook is too much for some. Being a tech guy, my cell phone may as well be attached to my wrist in some sense, (Which is why I am hoping next year's Samsung Gear is worth a damn, lol).

As far as forum layout, I know there are multiple sections for say BF, and for CoD in some sense. And I get that one is considered for clan matters in the HQ section, and the other is for community as in the whole world so to say. At least, that's what I perceive. But I feel this causes mishap. Most of what I am speaking comes from the BF side, as that's where I spend the majority of my time. But like we have some threads in the Community and some in the HQ, and both are equally important. So what if we found a way to get them together in one spot. I understand we are a public forum, and I respect the idea behind it. But if that means we have to be more exclusive to our members, maybe it will drive more people to actually finish their stuff, give them a reason to post up and work to be in the clan.

Old threads, before I came to CAG I was doing all the web stuff for my old clan via Enjin. I was using the archive forums, so when I came to CAG, I had a conversation about that very topic with Cheech. He informed me it does not help, and essentially what you have said here in a previous post. So as far as archiving, I think I understand a little better what is being stated. Essentially it comes down to if there is a way to maintain post count and delete threads we don't need. Go for it. My outlook on most things, if it doesn't hold a substantial amount of emotional value, and I have not used it in 6 months, chances are I do not need it. In this setting, 6 months may be too long. We do updates upon updates to things all the time. So these old threads are not exactly needed. I feel there are threads that have good information in them, and those can be saved. But for the most part, if its not needed or old news, burn it. My grandfather was a sponsor for the burn barrel outside when I was younger. And there was constantly a show in that thing.

I have ideas from time to time, that seem to sort of hit me. I will see if I conjure some of them up. As far as the roster thing I will be posting that very soon. If you need anything else from me, I am fairly free today.

Now with a dedicated server would be nice. My recruit like that I maintain for alpha company after cheech said something about malware I dropped that host and got my server running again so I run my own server for my list.

Its Been a Long Time Jadzia . But very happy and glad to see you back .

All the things and moves you made and are talking about making sound good to me .

The Top100 situation does IMO attract the wrong Kind of gamers at times .

But I also fell it does bring us a lot of gamers wanting to game it up with a great Gaming community Witch is us... Woot Woot Lol

But I also do fell . If they are getting huge advantage for all the traffic of other clans Such as us and we are not getting any kind of Compasation for it .. Then I say To try and contact the Owner/Founder of The Site and see if we can get a deal ..
If nothing is to be worked out with the Top100 Site . Then I say we Move on .

CAG Has held the top Spot for over 2 years and I can assure you no other clan will even come close to accomplishing that 👍

On the topic of post formatting, instead of removing the ability completely could we just refine the options available,limit colour and size choices so we can still be individual but in a way that doesn't disrespect other viewing experiences?

As a noob to this forum it would be nice to have the main clan roster section improved a little. While the ability to sort is there, the data fields do not place everyone into the appropriate group. I suspect all this data and information is pulled from the users profile and user page. I find it pretty good as it is but if we are looking at improvements its a thought. Maybe its as simple as having everyone fill out their profile with more detail. Maybe its a revamp of the layout or data. Maybe its just have a main sticky in each section with current rosters for each console/game.

I would like our be able to see every clan member in a list and be able to sort by rank, console, primary game, secondary game, company/platoon/squad, time zone, and maybe even style (casual vs competitive). Its a pain to add people on the x1 as it is without having to grind out a list in the forums.

This is would really benefit recruits (finding everyone to add) or those adding a new game or console. I play Destiny, Titanfall, CoD, and now BF4 on have X1. Ideally I want to add as many folks as possible. Not all of these groups have rosters, and not all of the people that play these games have their information available on the roster page.

Finally, as a noob to the group, I have no opinions on the rest of the aforementioned topics. Except to say that I have seen a pretty diverse group getting along well and going out of their way to help everyone else. This is a great place to hang .
