Hello everyone, it has been a very long time since I was last here but I have good reasons for popping in.

But before I let you guys know why I am here allow me to explain my absence. As some of you know I live in Switzerland and my area has very limited internet resources. They are doing a lot of upgrades around my area but they are still not quite there yet. Anyways, I have dual citizenship in Switzerland and in Egypt but I stayed in Egypt since last July and had no access to internet there due to strict internet restrictions.

I am back here in Bern Sui. and had a chance to talk with Cheech. We talked for a few hours today and I am going to spend the next few weeks updating and maintaining the website and forums for Cheech.

Anyone who needs something please contact me not Cheech regarding forum issues or concerns.

So now let me update you on what I have done and will be doing in the next few days.

I disabled the feature to allow registered members and recruits the ability to use different color fonts, different fonts and the size of fonts on forum posts, private messages, picture comments, visitor messages and social group messages. This was done because a lot of members are posting using fonts and colors that are very difficult to read. I saw Cheech saying something to a recruit but the recruit continued to use difficult to read colors and fonts. All other usergroups except recruits and registered users are allowed to use different colored fonts and fonts, but please be considerate of others when posting.

Proper forum conduct is now going to be expected to be practiced by all members. I was very shocked to see so much fighting and disagreements being posted in the wrong places on the forums. Unless you guys want me to be very strict with this, I suggest you guys try a little harder and stop acting like kids and act more like adults and carry good dialogue on the forums, be respectful of each other and know when to and when not to post certain comments about each other. These forums are not censored but from what I have seen there has been a lot of disrespect happening and that is not acceptable.

I know there are going to be a lot of people who do not agree with some of the things that are going to happen and change in the upcoming days and weeks and some that will not be happy with me overseeing and monitoring forum conduct, but Cheech has asked me to do this and I will be doing as Cheech has asked me to.

Most of my decisions will depend on what I see from you guys on the forums. If I don't have to warn anyone or step in during forum discussions then you guys can carry on as usual. We do not want to make the forums an uncomfortable place to visit but proper conduct is expected from everyone.

I will also be organizing the forums and removing any unnecessary forums, threads and areas to make the forums more easy to navigate. I will need for CAG Randuken and CAG MERZiN8 to get with me and get feedback on what they think should be done in regards to the forums, old threads and forum layout.

I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way and you guys start to feel uncomfortable, but Cheech needs help and he has asked me to help out and I am.

Most of what you guys have read came directly from Cheech almost word for word including the next question.

Do you guys feel that it is still necessary for us to stay on top100clans.com ? Cheech has some concerns about the type of players that come from top100clans.com and is considering pulling CAG from the site. He wants to hear everyone's opinions and all possible feedback regarding this.

Another concern of his is the performance of the forums. He wants to know if you guys are having any issues with the site and forums loading or if you are getting any errors of any kind.

We are discussing switching to a different host but would need donations to help with the costs of the new server. Plans are to switch to a dedicated server which would allow better features such as a chat box or chat system, faster load times, no down time which I hardly ever see on this host and server and the possibility of selling add space to advertisers to help fund giveaways, prizes and other stuff like that.

So please you guys, we want your feedback on what I just posted above. If you guys have suggestions or ideas please post them.

Restricting the font color and such is a good idea. Its also good to clean up and "reorganize"/pretty up the site. So everything sounds great to me.. I think staying on top100 is a good thing but I'm not aware of what the negatives has been so I can't offer much input on that.... I personally haven't had any problems with the forums or any errors.. Some have had ip problems but they've been corrected..

If you do switch to another server and start running ads I'd only hope they aren't the annoying kind of ads where if your mouse happens to pass over them they expand and open up and all.. Regular banner ads I can live with but those kind can really be a pain.

Looking forward to seeing what changes will be made and what cool new features we could get on here.

Oh no my Man lol .... those annoying popup adds wont be added here lol ... it will the same kind that we have now from google adsense and on the sides of the forum which are banners I have made. The google adsense adds are not generating enough so we have to look at other options ...

I didn't want to restrict anything but some people just don't listen or just don't seem to consider others when posting ....nevertheless I think we will make very good improvements to the forums as always ...Jadzia is responsible for a lot of the work done to this site ...she knows some things I don't and can really hold her own ...

As for the switch to a new server ...we are still figuring out what to do....the current hosting runs out in July I believe and this past year I have not been very pleased with hostgator at all ... we have had our site go down about 7 times if not a little more and in the past we had maybe 5 total since 2009 when we first launched the website and forums ....

So just my two cents.

1. I only have issues with the site on my Ipad. I use safari and very often I get a message that says there was a problem and it reloads the page. For the most part i use my phone are a laptop.

2. I never like adds. But I have a solution to earning money. What if CAG had a store. Sell shirts or DLC content. Or just about anything. I can help with this if thats a path you wish to explore.

3. I have no issue with getting rid of fonts and colors all together. The only time I ever use a font or a color is when I edit the canned reply. If its possible and people really want fonts and colors maybe give them an option of 3 or 4

4. As far as being on the top 100 clans. dose it really do anything for us. I will be honest I never heard of it until I joined CAG. If it stays or goes I dont see an issue here.

5. The infighting is a problem. I have no problem with strict guidelines on this. I think when an officer says an issue is " done and there dosent need to be any further comment " it means just that there should be no more posts following that. people need to learn they dont need to get the last word in.

6. Cleaning up the site. I think anything older than 8 months to a year with out an update or a post can go. Other things to clean up. The roster is in desperate need to be cleaned up. My suggestion any member who has not been active in 6 months should be sent to an inactive roster. The true is if they have not logged in in 6 months they are gone for ever. But if they come back it should not be that hard to make them active again.

I use Safari from time to time to troubleshoot errors that people report, so far I have never come across the error you get and the reload you are reporting ...breaks says he has that happen to him as well ...

We actually might do a complete overhaul of the forums in a couple of months but we have to run some test on a test site to make sure everything runs the same if we decide to do the big overhaul ... it's not necessary though but Jadzia mentioned it to me earlier today ....

The roster does need to be cleaned up I agree ... like you said anything over 6 months is almost certain that they are no longer interested .... I will need both Randy and Merz to make a list with all the members with over 6 months of inactivity ...or if you can get that list Reaper it would be much appreciated ....

The cleanup up of the forums is also something Jadzia wants to do .... I personally don't mind old posts being there but she does lol ....

Thanks Jadzia glad you have you back. As far as the negativity on the forums rest assure that my guys have been warned about it. I believe that a lot of issues need to handled outside of the forums.

I'm all about positivity here and that's what I promote. But I mean other than that things have been pretty much smooth sailing. I'm sure it won't be hard to find what I'm talking about.

But I will be doing the roster shake up. Top to bottom beginning from me down. What I would like is for you guys to get ahold of them before we do anything.

The roster is nearly there and I will work with you reaper if you want t pi volunteer and perhaps send out messages via Xbox once I get the list.
I will hve a list Tomorrow. Get in contact and see where they stand.

My opinion is as fellows:

To me the topclans thing is pointless. It brings players that don't want to be here, just be apart of the most voted clan on the site.

The forums need a over haul to me, I see a lot of posting on top of posting with no real discussing about issues more like a social media site for young people. I think you should have to submit a form for ideas, instead of just posting.

The roster needs to be tighten up. Get rid of people who don't log on with in the last for months of course if giving a proper reason.

But this is my thoughts.
