the Next COD Game: World At War 2?

Yep, it's that time of the year again. As everyone has settled down from the hype of the launch of Advanced Warfare, many people have begun to question whats in store for the next CoD title. Will there be exo suits? Will it be in the future? Will it be in the past?

A new rumor has surfaced up that actually looks rather legit, as shown in the image above. The image above is of a microsoft employee name Raj Patel who posted the image to his twitter account Thursday. The image shows a dark red roman numeral sign for "2", along with what appears to be morse code along the sides. The morse code translates to "Presented by Xbox, 10 AM PDT/ 1 PM EST May 4th 2015".

Now, if this is legit, and not just another rumor, then let's just start with some analysis. Considering Treyarch is making the next Call of Duty, and the picture shows the roman numeral for "2", while adding that the last game they made was Black Ops 2, the only reasonable guess as to the picture's intent is to reference a possible World at War 2 launch come this November.

So what makes this legit? Well for starters, Raj Patel is the Head of Xbox Community Management over at Microsoft, so why in the world would he be tweeting out leaks to the next CoD? It's not unreasonable or unheard of for Microsoft to be lending a hand in the production cycle of the next CoD, especially in the media/advertisement stage of it. Considering the long-lasting deal between Activision and Microsoft to exclusively allow Xbox players first access to all DLC content is a good example of the relationship between the two, so it really isn't surprising as to why Microsoft has such inside information.

With all that being said, what are your thoughts? Would a possible 2nd World at War game be good, or bad? If it is legit, then you can bet almost certainly exo suits will not be a part of the next CoD, but hey, we get another World at War, which is by far a substantial trade-off.

Maybe a Black Ops III due to the fact that they show the image from Black Ops 2? Idk which sounds worse though

Too much speculation and too little information. I'm not sure what the fascination with the next COD being in WW2. Did everyone not forget how overuse and sick of that theme we were. I'm all for going to the past but something different. Vietnam wasn't even really explored not to mention some other wars(Gulf war).

Vietnam was done plenty as well with a BF Vietnam in 04, expansion for Bc2 in 2010, and Black Ops in 2010. The last good WW2 game was World at War back in 2008. With the only other mentionable good ones being BF 1942 in 2002 and COD2 in 2005.

I think it's great timing for another good WW2 game. All BF and COD games since 2011 have been set in Modern or slightly Futuristic times and it's getting stale.

I think the market is ready for another past set game and I think Treyarch understands this. They probably realize they are loosing older fans of the series and realize that the new generation of COD players will buy it no matter what it is. Smart move if they can pull it off.

They would have got my money anyways because I think they offer the best value with their DLC. If I was on the fence, returning to the roots of the franchise would have grabbed my attention back.

I have read somewhere legit, can't find the link at this moment where is was pretty wheel suspected that the next CoD was going to be blops3... If it was indeed that way I would love to see one of a couple scenarios play out that would really peek my interest.

First one would be if the did a darker revelation of some scenarios the US would have hidden from public during Nam. Not saying there actually were since hey this games is fiction. But maybe follow a squad that was sent in when the rest of the best couldn't or would want to complete any particular mission.

The second I idea that would get me to shovel cash faster that at a strip club would be maybe a series of events or missions that would explain how atlas came to such power, he was a twisted man running the show so I am sure they could find no issues writing countless ops that allowed a private firm become equally powerful as any governments army. Since of course at the beginning of aw they don't delve to deeply into atlas's history.

Idk man didn't play the first WAW but really want a BO3... Don't know where I stand
