    The "meeting" (or butting of heads) was before the forum post was made to cease all activity involving Destiny medals and the like. I have been helping with Destiny a little bit for the past couple of days. I won't throw anyone else under the bus besides myself as far as this matter goes because I feel that it has gone on for way too far long and needed some kind of resolution. I do have an idea for the marksman badge requirement if the current design isn't approved or just can't be agreed upon. I won't go too far into that in this post since I'm merely answering your question regarding said "meeting."

    If there is any concern about me leaving the raid to attend the meeting I will say this. You can't "cheese" (or cheat for those unfamiliar with the term) Crota anymore. With that being said, I would have rather put my energy toward finding a resolution that's going to allow more recruits become full members of the site than attempt a level 30 raid with 5 out of 6 people. After spending 6 hours on Vault of Glass a few weeks back in another raid group I REFUSE to waste my time attempting something asinine as that when I could be doing the aforementioned task. The mechanics for this game are infantile in comparison to some of the games I have played and I cannot sit there and waste my already limited gaming time on more than half an hour of failure or an hour at most.

    It's bad enough that we're butting heads over medals (which are supposed to be for the fun of it and a rite of passage for new members).

    So all in all I have a simpler idea, that doesn't require numbers and a hell of a lot less work, for the requirements for PvE Destiny recruits that would appeal to most people. If you're interested before or after this meeting let me know and i'll run it by you in a private message.

    You absolutely can do it that way Dolan; I figured out what we were doing wrong. You only need to send one person over and that person goes straight up the middle like they are going to the next hallway. Easy to stay alive as long as everyone takes the ogres down before they get to the middle and you don't have to worry about the pillars going off.

    Okay, well here goes.

    Having a flat number of kills only would promote "thrall" killing and/or dying purposefully to get a respawn which would then spawn more monsters which would allow them to pad their kills. You could add a no death or a death limit to the medal but then again that would make it nearly impossible to attain the kill amount for some of the strikes unless everyone literally sits back and lets the recruit do all the work.

    Mocubitz's idea on testing each strike or mission for a max amount of kills and then taking a percentage of that (while a great idea) still presents two problems. The first being it will take way too long to go through every single strike and calculate an accurate amount of the total available kills. The second issue also tying into this is if the party dies in said strike then everything in that area will respawn again and the number will be inaccurate and require the group to start all over.

    So my idea on the matter was to forget all the numbers and require the recruit to place in either first or second during a strike for kill amounts and have it confirmed by a full member 10-20 times (debatable number, could use a little input on that) since it's not TOO hard to accomplish.

    This makes not only the recruit actually try to get kills but it also makes the two others in the game with the recruit also play a little more competitively to make sure we're getting the best recruit possible without making the task impossible or near impossible due to limitations of the game and also to save time of having to run every single strike or story mission all over again. Most strikes have a variety of levels to work with between level 20 to 32 depending on if it's an expansion level or not.
